Tuesday Pre-Season Friendlies BTTS Acca Tips

There's a whole host of friendlies taking place tonight with many clubs from all over the world competing against one another ahead of their respective seasons. We’re backing both teams to score as the managers tinker with new formations and try new players who will be looking to impress fans ahead of the forthcoming campaign

Dundee v Everton

Let’s face it, for all his charm, class and managerial ability, Roberto Martinez isn’t the man you’d turn to if you were organising a defence. The former Wigan man isn’t known for managing sides that keep clean sheets, but often relies on attacking brilliance in the final third. His Everton side are in Scotland and face Dundee at Dens Park. The Toffees beat Hearts 3-1 at the weekend and today’s opponents have a handy knack of finding the back of the net. A similar result here seems likely.

Wolves v Aston Villa

Wolves may have lost Bakary Sako, but they still possess firepower that should keep them in the upper echelons of the Championship this forthcoming season. Benik Afobe likes scoring against Premier League teams, especially those Manchester based and he could unlock a Villa defence, some of whom are still getting to know one another. An interesting season awaits for Tim Sherwood and his Villa side as he looks for an opportunity to gel some of his new signings. New signing Jordan Ayew may play a part tonight. These teams haven’t met for 3 years so it is likely to be competitive and hopefully high scoring.

Fleetwood v Burnley

One thing that Burnley prided themselves on in the Championship was keeping it tight and closing out games. They weren’t able to take it to the next level and struggled to keep out many a Premier League forward line and with the loss of Jason Shackell, shut outs seem even more unlikely. The Dingles found themselves 3-0 down to Accrington before a partial fight back began. They also managed to lose 3-2 to Chesterfield, so they’re games have been high scoring and exciting and as they travel to West Lancashire, we hope for more of the same.

MK Dons v Getafe

Top scorers in League One last season face Spanish opposition in the form of Getafe. The Dons may find a few sterner tests in the Championship, but they still have plenty of goals in them and they are easy on the eye. Getafe drew 2-2 with Port Vale in their last friendly outing and they conceded 7 on the final day of the season to Real Madrid. Defending isn’t their speciality. They are bound to ship a few goals, let’s hope they score 1 or 2 as well.
