Swansea v Stoke betting tips

Stoke have disappointed under Mark Hughes this season after their highest league position last time around. They face Swansea who have garnered praise from all quarters for their expansive style of football under Gary Monk.

The Swans are decent on home soil where the crowd can get behind their unique forward thinking style of passing. They are unbeaten here, winning 2 and drawing 2 and they've conceded very few in the process. Their victims include Manchester United, who they saw off 2-1.

Stoke have won their last 2, it feels as though a corner may have been turned after The Potters struggled to find consistency early on. They beat Villa and Bournemouth though, this feels like a slightly stiffer challenge.

Swansea are a close knit squad, they've only used 14 players in the league this season and that includes Kyle Naughton, who missed out against Spurs, but returns for this. There are injury doubts over Jonjo Shelvey and Andre Ayew, but both could pass late fitness tests. Gary Monk says his side have benefitted from the extra couple of days of preparation with this match being moved to the Monday and he will be crying out for some consistency.

I fancy them to take something from this game, but I don't think it will be all 3. They've drawn half of their games this season, including 2 of their last 3 and I fancy another here. Stoke have their confidence back after a couple of wins, although they are missing Mame Biram Diouf, they won't be easily to beat. They have a little bit of flair in the side with the return of Bojan and that could be the key to getting them back into this.

The first of my Swansea v Stoke betting tips is for the match to end in a Draw – It can be backed at 12/5 with Bet365

Looking at the stats, Swansea like to score the goals at home. They've scored at least 2 goals in all but one of their home matches. That was the 0-0 draw with Everton. Stoke have conceded in 3 of their 4 away games, the anomaly coming against goal-shy Villa.

Stoke only average a goal a game away from home, whereas Swansea average a goal and a half. The Swans have been leading at half time in 2 of their 3 home games this season. They've take the lead 4 times this season, including twice at Spurs and I fancy them to do so again here.

The second of my Swansea v Stoke betting tips is for Swansea to score the 1st goal of the game – It can be backed at 3/4 with Betfair

Bafetimbi Gomis was the man who was tasked with replacing the goals of Wilfried Bony when he departed for Manchester City. He scored 7 last season, without getting a proper run in the side. He's scored 4 in 8 this season, but not notched one since August 31st, he is well overdue a goal. He's scored 2 of his 4 at home this season and I think he can get back to form here.

The third of my Swansea v Stoke betting tips is for Bafetimbi Gomis to score anytime. It can be backed at 6/4 with Coral
