Football Accumulator Tips

QPR v Sheffield Wednesday – Over 2.5 goals

QPR are certainly the go-to team if you want goals, excitement and the squandering of winning positions. Under Chris Ramsey, they have shown they still possess that achilles heel – their sloppy defending. They suffered in the Premier League as Clint Hill and Richard Dunne didn't get enough protection from their midfield and were shown up. It continues to happen in the Championship with Karl Henry being picked week in, week out and the defence looking increasingly exposed. They were undone by Birmingham on Saturday after taking the lead and I can't see another clean sheet here. They possess plenty of attacking quality with Matt Phillips and Tjarron Chery providing plenty of ammunition and goals as well as Charlie Austin's goalscoring exploits. Sheffield Wednesday conceded a few themselves on the road and are usually good for a goal or two.

Brighton v Bristol City – Brighton win

Brighton are still top of the league and it was their 2-1 win on the road that provoked the sacking of Uwe Rosler at Leeds United. Chris Hughton is doing a superb job at the Amex and they are tough to beat home or away. They come up against Bristol City, who are fresh off the back of their first victory in the league on Friday night. A 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest was their first maximum haul in the league and it was unexpected, but this will be a lot tougher for them! With Dale Stephen and Beram Kayal in central midfield as well as Solly March and the tricky Kazenga Lua Lua they are extremely skillful and combative. They may not score goals by the bucket load, but they tend to win by a single goal and I think they will do the same here.

Rochdale v Coventry – Over 2.5 goals

Both of these teams drew 0-0 at the weekend so this doesn't seem a natural pick to be raining goals, but Rochdale are a completely different prospect on home soil. They win regularly, in fact winning 4 of their 6 games and losing the other two. They always score goals though and their results at home have been 1-3, 3-2, 1-2, 2-1, 3-0 and 2-0. Only the latter going unders. They've scored 12 of their 18 goals at Spotland and they should do it again here. Coventry missed plenty of chances at home to Blackpool, but the Seasiders have kept 3 clean sheets in a row in the league and are a different proposition to their early league form. Jacob Murphy and Adam Armstrong both missed guilt edged chances and with quality players such as John Fleck in their ranks, you expect them to create plenty more.

York v Dagenham – Both Teams to Score? Yes

Neither of these sides are in-form going into this match with neither side haven't registered a victory since September 5th. They both on this date with York beating bottom of the league Newport and Dagenham putting Northampton to the sword. Both sides are hopeless defensively with Dagenham having the 2nd worse backline in the division after Morecambe. York have fared slightly better but they have conceded 20 goals in 13 games and have shipped 2 goals in all of their last 4 home games. The Bootham Crescent crowd have seen plenty of goals fly past Scott Flinders in the York goal. They both have goals in them as well, with York putting 2 past Cambridge last time they were here and the Daggers scoring 6 in their last 4 away games.

Yeovil v Mansfield – Mansfield win

Mansfield have been one of the surprise packages of the League Two season so far. With 33 year old rookie manager Adam Murray in charge, they have sneaked up the table registering decent result after decent result and currently sit in 4th with only Portsmouth, Oxford and Plymouth above them. The Stags come up against Yeovil, who are hopelessly out of form and sit in 22nd. Mansfield have the 5th best away record in the league picking up 12 points from 6 games and they score plenty along the way. Yeovil are second bottom of the form table and Paul Sturrock has a huge job on his hands keeping his troops from registering 3 successive relegations!
