Monday Night Betting Tips

Arsenal v Manchester City – Both Teams to Score? Yes

This should be a superb dose of Monday night football as the Emirates plays host to Arsenal v Manchester City. The Gunners have lost just once in their last eight matches and sit five points off Leicester City in 2nd place in the Premier League table. They've been scoring plenty recently socring nine goals in their last four home matches. They've also conceded in three of those – to Everton, Sunderland and of course Spurs. Man City have been surprisingly listless in their last few away matches, failing to score at the Britannia, Villa Park and Old Trafford. They have too much quality for their barren run on the road to continue and they've netted 32 times this season overall, so the goals should start flowing on their travels at some point. Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches, that was against low scorers Aston Villa.

Sporting Braga v Pacos Ferreira – Braga to score over 1.5 team goals

One of two Portuguese matches on Monday night and I think the home side will be emerging with three points here. They're a little short at 4/7, but I think they will find a way to score a few past Pacos Ferreira. Pacos Ferreira have lost three of their six away matches this season including their last two and have conceded two or more goals in all of their defeats. They're much better at home, but away from home when facing the bigger teams in the league, they very rarely come away with anything. Braga have taken 13 points from their home games this season and put four past Belenenses and five past Maritimo here. They lost their last match, but that was to Benfica and they look like they should be able to bounce back here.

Paderborn v Dusseldorf – Both Teams to Score? Yes

There's a game in the Bundesliga II as Paderborn take on Dusseldorf. Paderborn haven't won for six consecutive matches and they've been struggling to keep the goals out. They had four put past them by a Bochum side that have only picked up six points from their last eight games and that was off the back of a 2-1 defeat to in-form Nurnberg. They've socred six goals at home in their last three matches – 4-4 with 1860 Munich and two 1-1 draws before that. Dusseldorf haven't been particularly effective away from home, although they tasted victory on the road last time beating FSV Frankfurt. That's a decent enough result – but FSV Frankfurt are poor in front of their own fans. Both sides have scored in five of the nine away matches for Dusseldorf and this one could make it six from ten.

Bilbao B v Lugo – Lugo (+1) Handicap

There's just the single match in the Segunda Division in Spain and it's the away side who have a slight advantage in this one. Just a single win since the middle of September for Blibao B leaves them struggling in the league. That win was at home to Llagostera, who have the worst away form in the division this season. Bilbao have picked up 12 of their 14 points at home, but eight of the 12 were pre-November and recently, it's been hard going for them. They face Lugo, who haven't lost since the 25th October and have picked up five points from a possible nine away from home recently. They beat Ponferradina recently, who prior to meeting Lugo, had only lost once in eight. The handicap should easily cover us in this game.

Belenenses v Boavista – Belenenses Draw No Bet

And finally, a short one, but Belenenses are in better form than Boavista at present and have the home advantage here. They lost their last home games to in-form Vitoria Setubal who have only lost three times all season, but they beat Tondela and Unaio Madeira here and their fans have seen just a single defeat here all season. Boavista have only won twice all season and just one on the road – that was back in September. Although the home side have been defensively suspect, the away have only the net six times all season, with four of those coming in the first two months of the season. The home side should just edge this.
