Football Accumulator Tips – Both teams to score? Yes

Villareal v Sevilla

We start in La Liga with this match between Villareal and Sevilla. The away side are coming into this game full of confidence after hitting Getafe for 5 last weekend. They started the season exceptionally poorly and their away record is still nothing to write home about, but they are in the top 10 of the La Liga form table now and things are starting to click for Unai Emery. Both teams have found the net in 4 of their last 5 matches in all competitions. Their opponents Villareal are without a win in 3, but they have started the season well and still remain at the right end of the table. They've scored in all 4 of their last home games and they shipped two goals to Celta Vigo here last time.

Guingamp v Lorient

Guingamp are a completely different animal when their at home to when they are on their travels. Away, they keep things tight and tend to win 1-0 or it remains goalless. They were one of the tightest defences in the leagues, but recently at home, they've shown signs of vulnerability. They tend to favour the 4-4-2 formation at home which gives them more attacking scope than the 4-5-1. Lorient are an attack minded side and should help bring this game out and make it an interesting watch. A number of Lorient players were rested for their cup match in midweek, so they'll be coming back into the fold feeling fresh. They've drawn their last  2 fixtures 1-1 and only one game since the end of August has failed to produce goals for both sides.

Excelsior v Vitesse

We head to the Eredivisie for this one and Vitesse have become one of the most deadly sides in the division. They scored 5 against Groningen, admittedly a fatigued Groningen. They managed to breach the Ajax defence last weekend, a side who had previously been watertight and kept a number of clean sheets in the early stages of the season. They've scored 11 in their last 3 games. They scored 5 away at PEC Zwolle, which was a huge boost as they haven't been great on the road. 70% of their games have had over 2.5 goals and they've only kept 4 clean sheets all season, one of them to Groningen, during a hectic period for the opposition and one of them coming against bottom side De Graafschap. Excelsior have scored a goal in each of their last 4 matches and even put one past PSV. They drew a blank at home to Ajax, but the Amsterdam club have been specialists at keeping sides at bay, that I am happy to overlook that.

KV Mechelen v Beveren

We're back to our beloved Belgium league for the final selection as KV Mechelen face Beveren. Mechelen left it late on Wednesday as they waited until the 90th minutes to pull one back against Standard Liege. It was a consolation in the end, but it goes to show, they are always looking for a goal. Last weekend, they were involved in a crazy match with Zulte Wagarem which ended 3-4, supporters of the art of defending will not be watching that one back on DVD. They've only failed to score once in their last 8 games, that came in a 1-0 defeat to Chaleroi, a side who pride themselves on being to beat and having a tight defence. Beveren also found Chaleroi a hard obstacle to overcome in their match against them last week, but they've scored 8 goals in their last 4 away games, it's in front of their own fans, they struggle to score. If you took Standard Liege out of the equation, these two sides would have the joint worst defences in the league. This one must surely have goals.
