Unaio Maderia v Sporting Braga – Both Teams to Score? No

Goal shy Unaio Madeira host Sporting Braga in the Portuguese top division and this doesn't look set up to be a thriller. Unaio Madeira's last two home games both ended goalless with neither the hosts nor Guimaraes or Arouca being able to get on the scoresheet. Only two of the home sides fixtures this season have finished with both teams scoring and only one of those at home. Sporting Braga are the guests, they do score goals, but tend to save them for their own fans. They've scored 94% of their 16 goals this season at home and on the road have kept things tight. If you add up Madeira's home goals and Braga's away goal, you only get 6. Defensively, Braga are handy, they've kept 4 consecutive clean sheets, so you don't imagine a side as short on firepower as Madeira will get past them. Unaio Madeira have drawn a blank on 5 of the last 6 occasions, so if you're hoping for goalmouth action, you might want to give this one a swerve.

Belenenses v Tondela – Under 2.5 goals

Another Portuguese game and another side who were in Europa League action on Thursday night. Belenenses couldn't build on their great result in Switzerland as they went down to Basel by 2 goals to nil here. Slightly alarming that they couldn't even get on the scoresheet. They've scored just 10 goals in their opening 9 matches in the league, but that's 6 more than today's opponents, Tondela who have managed a paltry 4. On bare stats alone, it looks like Belenenses have a creaky defence, as they've conceded 21 goals already. But once you break it down, most of them have been away at the bigger and better clubs in the league. Shipping 6 to Benfica, 4 to Sporting Braga and 4 to Porto isn't ideal, but once you take those goals away, they've only let in 7 to the sides in and around them. Tondela failed to score in 4 of their last 6 games and the other two finished 1-1. Belenenses' last 3 home matches have finished 1-0, 2-0 and 1-1.

Saint Pauli v Dusseldorf – Both Teams to Score? No

Over to Germany for this selection and into their second tier. Saint Pauli are the hosts for the visit of Dusseldorf. Saint Pauli are in fine form at home, they've been winning and keeping clean sheets. The only exception is the 1-3 reverse to Saudhausen, who have the best away form in the league, so that can be excused to an extent. Either side of that defeat, they won 1-0 and overall 69% of their games finish with fewer than 3 goals. They keep a meanbackline. conceding just 11 goals in 13 matches , they've only conceded 5 of those here, 3 of those were to Sandhausen and the other 2 were in the middle of August. Dusseldorf are the visitors here, they are struggling down the wrong end of the table, averaging less than a goal a game and conceding plenty along the way. St Pauli aren't the sort of side to go mad, they probably aren't going to put 4 or 5 past Dusseldorf, they've not hit more than 3 in any home game this season, but they should have enough to win this game and stave off any threat of Dusseldorf.

Crotone v Avellino – Both Teams to Score? Yes

We ventured into Italy's 2nd tier last Monday and Crotone were at home, we backed them, only for them to concede in the 89th minute and let us down. This week, we're backing the goals. Crotone are flying high and they haven't failed to score in any of their home matches this season. They've conceded in 3 of their 5 home  games this season and they face Avellino who have only failed to score once all season, that was at home on the 22nd September. They've won their last 2, hitting 3 in both games and have scored 10 goals in their last 4 matches. Both Teams have scored in 83% of their away games and against a Crotone side who conceded 4 last time out, they'll fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
