Wednesday Night Accumulator Tips

We were agonisingly close last night as we were an Ipswich goal short of landing a 24/1 5-fold. Annoyingly the Tractor Boys did score, twice, but after the 90 minute mark. Less matches to choose from tonight, but we'll find 5 best bets and hopefully bounce back from last night.

Bayer Leverkusen v Lazio – Race to 2 goals – Bayer Leverkusen

The German side created and spurned their fair share of chances in Italy as they tried in vain to get that all important away goal. They are now chasing a 1-0 deficit and luckily for them, Lazio have a poor record in Germany, winning just once. Both side have injuries to content with and Charles Aranguiz will be a huge miss. But, Leverkusen have to go for this and I think they can score twice in front of the home crowd. Roger Schmidt says his side have been working on defensive formations and counter attacking football and we're hoping this pays off tonight.

CSKA Moscow v Sporting Lisbon – Both Teams to Score? Yes

It's hard to place CSKA Moscow in this competition. They have started life in the Russian Premier League superbly and are unbeaten after 5 games. However, they have a poor record at home in this competition. Sporting have started life sluggishly domestically, but there's no doubting they are a talented side and Islam Slimani was on song when knocking the winner past the Russians last week. He will be keen to add to his tally in this competition and CSKA have Seydou Doumbia back at the club and he scored in the 1st leg. I can see this one being close, with both sides making a breakthrough at some point.

Barnsley v Everton – Alternative Handicap – Barnsley +2 goals

This may be a touch short, but I think Barnsley will hold their own for the majority of the match and may make it tricky for the Toffees. Everton will win in the end as they have a number of talented players and may even give young full back Mason Holgate a game against his former club. Barnsley have started the season relatively well under Lee Johnson and barring an opening day defeat to Chesterfield, they have been relatively secure at the back.

Airdrieonians v Rangers – Rangers to score Over 2.5 goals

It was hard work for those who had backed Rangers at the weekend, but a tremendous James Tavernier free-kick eventually undid Hibs and Rangers picked up another 3 valuable points. This time they face much easier opposition, but fairly familiar opposition. Now in League One, Airdrieonians have come up against the men from Ibrox several times in the last couple of years and are yet to get the better of them. They lost 3-0 in their last meeting and even lost 0-6 back in 2013. Mark Warburton is potentially the best managerial appointment the club could have hoped for and he is doing a sterling job.

Hibernian v Stanraer – Race to 3 goals – Hibernian

And the final selection is another short one. But Hibs should easily get past Stanraer. They have only met once since 2002 and that ended 5-3 to the home side. Stranraer have lost their last 2 games and conceded 6 goals in the process to teams ranked much lower than Hibs and it shouldn't be a problem to score twice tonight. If you don't feel confident in this tip, Race to 2 goals is also available for shorter odds.
