The David De Gea story has dominated the summer transfer window, the will-he won't-he saga involving Real Madrid has been hogging the back pages and it looks like it's coming to an unexpected conclusion with the goalkeeper on the verge of signing a new 5 year contract with the club.

Many people thought the stopper would be off this summer, but it would be Man Utd's best bit of business if he stays.

His team would have one more point if he had been playing this season. A poor display from Romero against Swansea lost them the match and if De Gea starts, I can see him being crucial in the full time result here.

Liverpool also disappointed last time out, going down 3-0 to West Ham, with Phillipe Coutinho sent off in an odd affair.

Brendan Rodgers has eased some of the pressure on himself with a couple of scrappy wins at the start of the season, but he isn't in the clear yet and if this match doesn't swing his way, the fans will be on his case once more.

It already feels like these sides have a mountain to climb to catch Manchester City, although they'll be heartened to see Arsenal and Chelsea both slipping up early doors too.

Neither side will want to lose this match and I think it will be tense and perhaps a little low on quality. Before the 3-0 loss to West Ham, Liverpool had mainly been involved in 1-0 wins and they have still only 3 goals to their name this season.

United score a few more, but they have a number of players returning from International duty and the fans are still not convinced by Louis Van Gaal's style of play. They will want the 3 points here and Van Gaal may just employ any tactic to try and keep it tight and nick a goal or two.

I think it will be low on goals.
