Free Golf Betting Tips & Preview- Each Way tips- The Reno Tahoe Open 2013-  The WGC Bridgestone is not the only event taking place on the PGA Tour this week there is also the Reno Tahoe Open which in terms of field quality is not great but its certainly a unique event as its the only one on tour to be played using a modified stableford scoring format which made its debut last year (until then it was a stroke play event) when JJ Henry won with +43 points the aim is to shoot the highest score and this is the points system that will be used this week:

Albatross= 8 Points
Eagle= 5 Points
Birdie= 2 points
Par= 0 Points
Bogey= -1 Point
Double Bogey or worse= -3
So players can afford to play aggressive golf this week and take on shots they may not do in regular stroke play events

RORY SABBATINI:

Rory comes into this in decent form with three top 20 finishes in his last four starts and I feel this format could really suit him as he is capable of making plenty of birdies he currently sitting 9th in birdies or better and could be the pick of the favourites this week

ANDRES ROMERO:

After a pretty miserable start to the season where he missed 9 of the first 13 cuts this season but in that run he still managed a 6th place in Puerto Rico in similar field to the one this week, Andres has steadied the ship somewhat by now going on streak of 5 made cuts with 3 of them resulting in top 25 finishes he also makes a stack of birdies sitting 18th in birdies or better despite his poor start to the season he also 3nd last year so he clearly has a liking for this format

MATT EVERY:

Although Matt hasn't lived up to last years form where he managed an impressive 6 top 10 finishes including to 2nd place finishes I still think he is a good player which may just take to this format like a duck to water he is prone to the odd mistake here and there which won't be as punishing this week as it is in a normal stroke play event he sits 19th in birdie or better average and arrives here on the back of 3 progressive results finishing 38th,35th,28th so if he can keep on improving he may not be to far away this week in a format I think will suit his game
