Football Accumulator Tips

Southampton v Bournemouth – Over 2.5 goals

It's been a torrid couple of weeks for Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. The next few weeks will determine what kind of character the squad has as they look to bounce back from shipping 10 goals in their last 2 Premier League games. They haven't been helped by a number of injuries to key players such as Max Gradel and Callum Wilson. It has disrupted an otherwise united squad. They still have plenty of talent, including Matt Ritchie and Glenn Murray who can score goals and against a Southampton side who have conceded in each of their last 5 games. They've also found the net in the last 5 games and they found 2 goals in midweek against Villa in the cup. There should be a few goals in this one.

Lazio v AC Milan – Lazio win

Lazio have very impressive home form in Serie A and they are flying high this season. AC Milan got a vital 3 points in midweek at home to Chievo, but they haven't had much joy on the road and they may struggle here against an in-form side. Lazio are 4th in the form table and have picked up a maximum number of points at home. They've beaten the likes of Torino, Frosinone, Genoa & Udinese, all without conceding. AC are 3 unbeaten, they've won their last 2, but they both came at home. They've scored just 4 goals in their last 5 games in all competitions and it's unlikely they are going to try and outscore their opponents. It could be a low scoring game, but with Lazio having only let 1 in here, I can see them coming out on top.

Monaco v Angers – Both Teams to Score? Yes

Over to Ligue 1 for this one in which Monaco have a cripplingly long injury list. Bernard Silva is the latest man on the treatment table and the playmaker will be a huge loss as he's imperative to the way Leonardo Jardim sets up his side. Monaco have scored though in all but 2 of their games, with only PSG and Lille keeping them out, the last of those being on August 30th. They have managed to find the net in every other game since and although they've struggled to turn draws into wins recently, 5 of their last 6 games have finished with both sides finding the net. Angers have failed to score just 3 times this season, all have been 0-0, crucially all of them have been at home. They are a lot more open on the road and that should lead to an entertaining game at Stade Louis II

Hamburg v Hannover – Under 2.5 goals

Although this is a derby and there is more riding on it, I still think we will see few goals here. Hamburg have found scoring difficult, although they will be buoyed by their 1-0 win against Hoffenheim last Friday. They've kept two clean sheets in the last 3 games and may be hard to penetrate. Trouble is, they've also failed to score in 3 of their last 4 matches in the Bundesliga. They've only scored more than 1 goals in a game twice, the last being at the start of September. Their opponents Hannover lost at home to Frankfurt last weekend and have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 3 games. They usually do score, but haven't scored more than 1 goal since the start of September. It could be a match in which defences are on top.
