Expert Betting Tips for Saturday’s TV Races

2:00pm Newbury

This is quite a tricky race to open with, and there are several live hopes. O Maonlai bolted up last time, and despite a 15lb rise is very much respected.  However, a chance is taken on BOBCATBILLY (E/W) (11/1 Coral), who is 5 wins 11 starts over fences and still potentially improving.

2:15pm Kelso

This could be a bit of a slog over 3m2f on ground which might be soft enough for a few.  THE LAST SAMURI (9/2 Paddy Power) has always hinted at having plenty of ability, and as the least exposed member of the field, he is the selection.

2:35pm Newbury

The return to good ground can see DUSKY LEGEND (E/W) (11/1 Coral) go well.  Alan King’s charge has bumped into some good mares in both bumpers and some quality contests over hurdles, and might represent some value in today’s big field.

2:50pm Kelso

Stamina will again be at a premium over this 3m3f trip and the state of the ground will also play a key part.  Milansbar is tempting off top weight, but it probably won’t be deep enough for him.  SPOOKYDOOKY (3/1 Paddy Power) should go on the prevailing surface, and remains open to plenty of improvement for Jonjo O’Neill.

3:10pm Newbury

This is likely to be a stiff test at the trip, with most eyes drawn to Carruthers after the exploits of his stable at Cheltenham last week.  Back from a break and up in trip, a chance is taken on SIN BIN (E/W) (7/1 Betfred) putting his best foot forward to continue Paul Nicholls wonderful run of weekend winners.

3:25pm Kelso

Oscar Rock has always been a talented individual, but he’s been a beaten favourite five times in his relatively short career, and under top weight he is opposable here.  OSCAR FORTUNE (5/2 William Hill) can make it a good day for Jonjo O’Neill and is the best alternative to the market leader.

3:45pm Newbury

STORM FORCE TEN (NAP) (9/4 bet365) has caught the eye on all three runs this season, and off a mark of 123 he looks dangerously well-handicapped on his first run on good ground since going hurdling.  Sam Waley-Cohen’s 3lb claim is also handy and he’s fancied to go close.
