2.50pm Kelso

A tricky looking handicap that seems sure to see recent winners Spookydooky, Derrintogher Bliss, Cultram Abbey, and Hartforth head the market, but I prefer the chances of RACING EUROPE (11/2 bet365) who represent the bang in form Brian Ellison yard. Lightly raced over hurdles, this is only his fifth race and I suspect he can improve past a lot of these with stamina his strong suit.

4.00pm Kelso

Nestling neatly at the bottom of the weights and with jockey Tony Kelly claiming three pounds, UNO VALORORO (7/2 bet365) will think he has been let loose having carried 11st 12lb to victory at Catterick last time out. He has been climbing the weights having won here off a rating of 80 (runs off 107 today), which has forced this step up in class. Nonetheless; he is in good form, handles track and going, and does look to have sneaked in at the bottom of the weights here.

5.10pm Kelso

You just the get the feeling that trainer Nicky Richards thinks he has a really good one on his hands with IMADA (6/4 bet365) who hacked up at Ayr in November after some serious market support saw him sent off the 13/8 favourite. Rested since, I gather that was merely to allow him to strengthen again as we will not really see the best of him for another year or two, but word is he is crying out for a run which is why they have sent him here where defeat is not even considered as an option.
