Channel 4 accumulator betting tips for the horse racing action on Saturday.

Despite the Flat season drawing to a close, the good quality racing continues and this Saturday’s Channel accumulator tip includes selections from both Ascot and Newmarket.

1.50 Newmarket

First up at Newmarket we have a sales race for the fillies over 7f which looks to be a match between Osaila and VERY SPECIAL (3/1 Ladbrokes). The Richard Hannon trained Osaila has the best form in the race with her one length defeat to Cursory Glance particularly noteworthy. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that the Godolphin representative may be open to greater improvement and could prove to be the winner. Godolphin have a superb record with two-year-old fillies and won this last year with Wedding Ring. It was an impressive maiden victory for the selection and connections wouldn't be throwing her in at the deep end if she wasn't good enough.

2.40 Ascot

Moving on to Ascot, we have the Group 3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes, with PETHER’S MOON (3/1 Betfred) the likeliest to strike in what looks a trappy small field contest. His latest victory came in a very valuable race in Turkey, which saw him bounce back to form after a rare poor performance in the Geoffrey Freer. Back over 1m4f, at a track he likes, the usually consistent colt should have enough in the locker despite the absence of usual jockey Richard Hughes who is at Newmarket. The selection beat a rapidly advancing Encke last time and, despite having ton concede weigh, the selection enjoys Ascot and should maintain the form.

3.30 Newmarket

Finally, we have the 2014 renewal of the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes, another high quality affair. For me this is a tight affair between the first few in the betting but, with two course wins from two attempts, MISS FRANCE (5/1 William Hill) should be able to prevail. She won the Oh So Sharp Stakes here last year and then went on to win the 1,000 Guineas earlier in the year. She was just pipped by Esoterique last time out in a muddling race and it is notable that stable jockey Maxime Guyon has stayed loyal to this filly. Integral needs to overturn recent form with Esoterique and although Fintry looks a progressive filly, she is short enough in the betting when you consider what she has achieved to date.
