1.50 Newmarket

Finally the Godolphin boys are beginning to fire in the winners and, if they named VERY SPECIAL (3/1 bet365) a daughter of Lope De Vega accordingly, then it seems safe to assume they think a bit of her! One race and one win makes her a bit difficult to judge but she did it well on her only visit to a racecourse, running on strongly over six furlongs.  That effort would give you confidence that the seventh furlong here will suit, and I will be surprised if she is not there or thereabouts as they flash past the line. 

2.20 Newmarket

My travels around the racing world have brought me into contact with trainer Mike De Kock on more than one occasion and he is a professional trainer who excels at his job.  His juveniles rarely win first time out, in Europe at least, yet TANNAAF (8/1 Coral) did exactly that on the July course at odds of 7/1.  That suggests to me that there is plenty of improvement to come and he could well land this competitive event.

3.05 Redcar

Henry Candy trains LIMATO (7/4 William Hill), a thoroughly likeable and currently unbeaten colt who is thought of as Group Class performer at home, and ought to be far too good for this lot granted the obligatory luck in running.  Three wins, two at Kempton and one at Newbury, already mark him out as above average and he is fully expected to mop up the prize money, possibly before being put away for the winter and a crack at the 2,000 Guineas next year. 

3.30 Newmarket

In racing circles Andre Fabre is renowned as a master trainer, and if he thinks his three-year-old filly MISS FRANCE (5/1 Coral) is good enough to run in the Sun Chariot Stakes, alongside two of her stablemates, then she automatically warrants respect.  Word is she is back to her very best after needing the run on her return after a couple of months off at Deauville and, if she is in the same form as when winning the 1,000 Guineas, she should be able to finish in the placings at the very least.
