Saturday football accumulator tips:

Arsenal vs Stoke: Under 2.5 goals @ 6/5

It’s fair to say arsenal have been lacklustre so far this season and their failure to bring in another striker is one that many fans and pundits are tipping to come back to haunt them. Only Stoke’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham and Arsenal’s 1-2 win away at Palace have had more than three goals in them this season. This will be a close game, Arsenal will have the bulk of the possession but struggle to break down a resolute Stoke side who will play on the counter attack. I don’t see this one being high scoring.

Watford vs Swansea: Swansea win @ 6/4

Watford have begun the season pretty well, drawing their opening three games but tasting defeat away to City which they would have expected. Swansea are unbeaten so far and have taken points from Chelsea and Manchester United. If Swansea are to push on and challenge for a European spot these are the kind of games they need to get a result in. Swansea will be full of confidence and should still dominate despite being away from home. I think Garry Monk’s side should continue their bright start here and  pick up all three points.

Charlton vs Rotherham: Charlton win @ Evens

Rotherham have picked up just one point from their opening five games and have conceded thirteen goals in the process. Charlton are doing much better having won two, drawn two and lost once, it’s worth noting that both their league wins came at home against promotion hopefuls Hull and QPR. Charlton will expect to make it three home wins out of three and have an excellent chance to do it against a Rotherham side who already look like they’re struggling.

Birmingham vs Bristol City: Birmingham win @ 6/4

Birmingham have picked up where they left off under Gary Rowett last season having picked up eight points from four games and are undefeated so far this campaign. Bristol City have lost three of their opening five games but have picked up a win against Middlesbrough. Of the last six meetings between these two sides five have ended as wins for Birmingham and I think they will be adding to that tally this weekend.

Gillingham vs Blackpool: Gillingham win @ 4/7

Gillingham are top of League One and have won four of their six opening games, drawing the other two. Blackpool managed to beat Scunthorpe last weekend but have started the season poorly following relegation from the Championship last season. Gillingham have won all three of their home games and whilst Blackpool have picked up all their points on the road this season I think they will find Gillingham have too much for them on Saturday.
