Aston Villa vs QPR

This is a massive game at for both sides as they battle to avoid the drop.  Six of Aston Villa’s last seven league matches have gone over 2.5 goals, which is hardly surprising given they continue to struggle defensively.  Villa have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 13 Premier League games.  If QPR can take all three points, they will lift themselves off the bottom of the table to within just a point of Villa who lie fourth from bottom.  Rangers have only failed to score in one of their last six away league matches, and with maximum points from their last two it would be no surprise to see Arry’s boys take all three points back to London.

Best Bet:  QPR to win – 11/5 with bet365

Southampton vs Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers has Liverpool playing really well at the moment, and The Reds travel to St Mary’s in search of a fourth league victory on the spin.  Southampton lie just five points ahead of bottom-of-the-table QPR and could very easily be dragged into the relegation dog-fight.  Goals look likely in this one, with both sides seeing their games regularly surpassing the over 2.5 goals mark.  With Luis Suarez continuing to dazzle, supported by Sturridge and Coutinho who have slotted in nicely at Anfield, it’s hard to see past another Reds victory.  At the prices though, get on Suarez to find the net anytime.

Best Bet:  Luis Suarez to score anytime – 5/6 with bet365

Stoke vs WBA

This mid-table clash may not be top of the pops in terms of entertainment value, but it does represent a good betting opportunity nonetheless.  Despite winning only one of their last ten Premier League matches, Stoke continue to be solid at The Britannia Stadium where they have lost only two of their last 21 league matches.  One of those defeats though was when they last played in front of their own fans a fortnight ago, going down 1-0 to West Ham.  They will be keen to bounce back from that defeat by taking all three points against a West Brom side who have lost four of their last five away league matches.  A West Brom win looks unlikely and so we will side with the home side.

Best bet:  Stoke to win (draw no bet) – 4/6 with bet365

Swansea vs Arsenal

After a stunning victory over Bayern Munich in Germany in midweek, the Gunners will surely travel to Wales high on confidence, albeit perhaps with weary legs.  And that could make them vulnerable to a Swansea side who have won their last three league games at the Liberty Stadium.  In fact, The Swans have lost only one of their last eleven Premier League matches on home turf.  To take three points here I reckon Wenger’s side will have to score at least twice and that is something that has proved difficult for his side on the road in recent weeks.  In their last five away league matches they have scored in each game but never more than once.  The value in this game lies in backing the hosts to win or draw.

Best Bet:  Swansea win or draw (Double Chance) – 4/6 with bet365

Our four selections rate as solid single bets, or if you prefer to back them in an accumulator, it pays just over 15/1 with bet365.
