2.10pm Chester – Astley Hall 5/1

I really liked the way Richard Fahey’s two year old son of Dutch Art won at Redcar despite giving away a few lengths when swerving at the start and if he breaks on level terms here from the five stall he may well be able to track across early enough to negate his less than perfect draw.

3.10pm Chester – Zafayan 9/1

When the legendary Dermot Weld sends a horse over form his Irish base it is common courtesy to sit up and take notice. A winner on his return to action at Leopardstown he may well improve again for the step up to this marathon two and a quarter mile trip in which case at the odds he is an each way option.

3.45pm Chester – Blithe Spirit 5/1

I love this horse and after his respectable return to action when second to Spinatrix at Nottingham which will have put him straight, he will be difficult to stop today, though again thanks to his draw in the six stall each sway bets would be the sensible option.
