Musselburgh hosts a competitive card on Friday and it is headed by the Weatherbys Private Banking Handicap for 3yo's over 1m1f. With the defection of Yenhaab, there are only three runners left in a race which regualrly throws up a reasonable type to go on and do well throughout the season.

VENTURA QUEST (10/11 bet365) is first up for Richard Fahey and this horse has enjoyed a few wins throughout his career and didn't run a bad race when finishing sixth in the Royal Mile at the course. The form of that race is pretty decent and he was plugging on at the end. The run would have put the horse in good shape and there is potentially more to come.

Master Of Finance (15/8 William Hill) looked quite decent when winning a good maiden at Chester last year, but then struggled in two small field nurseries towards the end of last season. The horse should improve now as a 3 year-old and should also improve for the step up in trip. However, on 2 year-old form he’s probably best watched for his first run and one to keep on side later on in the season.

Frankthetank (11/2 SkyBet) did well when cleaning up a few low class Southwell handicaps throughout the winter but completely lost his way when finishing second last out at Haydock over a mile last time out. It looks like the handicapper has caught up with this horse, who is now 18lbs higher then off his last winning mark and it looks like it might be a while until he gets his head in front again.

In reality this is a two horse race between VENTURA QUEST and Master Of Finance. It is a shame Yenhaab doesn't run as that would make it a very intriguing contest but through the formlines available, Ventura Quest just shades the vote. The run in the Royal Mile was decent and being by Henrythenavigator, 1m1f should be his optimum trip. Master Of Finance is a very good horse and could improve a lot from his 2 year-old form but he'll have to do so to get the better of Ventura Quest.
