Sunday’s Football Accumulator Tip:

Augsburg to beat Eintracht Frankfurt

Augsburg have started 2015 in the best possible manner and have continued where they left off from 2014. Last year before the winter break, Augsburg gained a massive home win against European challengers, Borrussia Mochengladbach. Now into the New Year, maximum points have once again been achieved by securing two wins both at home and on the road. The first arrived at the start of February, defeating Hoffenhiem at home with a valiant 3-1 performance. This week they then challenged the stunned giant and the shock of Bundersliga, Borussia Dortmund. Augsburg were victorious and pushed the once, mighty yellows back down further in the relegation swamp, swiping a 1-0 away victory in the making. Their opponents, Frankfurt achieved a Europa place last season, but this term, those have been the plans of Augsburg. Frankfurt have been inconsistent this season and they currently occupy 9th position. 2015 hasn’t provided much smiles at this current time, after failing to beat relegation fighting Frieburg, losing away from home 4-1. Then during the week they faced the difficult task of breaking down Wolfsburg. Frankfurt could only manage a 1-1 draw. On head to head appearances, the cards turn in Augsburg’s favour, they are currently unbeaten in four against Frankfurt, winning two and drawing two.

Nice to beat Nantes

A southern battle in Ligue 1 commences on Sunday when Nice welcome the colourful shirts of Nantes to the Allianz Riviera. Nice have hit form at the right time because so far in 2015 the red and black shirts are currently unbeaten. Three wins and a draw have escalated Nice in Ligue 1 as they now sit in an impressive 8th position. However, failing to beat struggling Metz last time out, proves that there is still work to be done for the sunny part of France. They will hope to get back to winning ways against Nantes who have had a torrid time regarding their last five games. Only one win in a mere friendly and a draw against Lille last time out has been of the exciting proceedings for Nantes. Away from home is when the yellow could turn a darker shade because performances on the road haven’t brought in any points for Nantes, only one win in their last five.

Feyenoord to bet Cambuur

Feyenoord’s European plans took a massive blow last weekend when they lost to the hands of Herenveen, they now hope to rectify things with a thunder bolt performance against Cambuur who seem to be stuck in the middle of the Eredivisie. For Feyenoord, that loss has dumped them into 4th position, one point behind high flying and shock candidates, PEC Zwolle and five points behind Dutch giants, Ajax in 2nd position. Before that defeat, Feyenoord were unbeaten in four games, with only a draw dampening plans to the hands of Ajax. It may have arrived at the correct time to face Cambuur, as the yellow shirts seem to be falling further and further down the league. Cambuur are without a win in five and losing four straight games in a row. Away from home though they may have something to reflect on, three wins and one draw away from home have been gained for Cambuur, but Feyenoord should be a different outfit come Sunday. One being after Saturday’s results and two, because they now have to play catch up. Goals are likely to follow in this encounter too.

Vitoria Guimaraes to beat Belenenses

Vitoria are slowly creeping up the league and after beating Belenenses in the cup during the week, their run has now extended to four games unbeaten. They will meet Belenenses for a second time and Vitoria are currently defeating expectations, they are currently in 4th position and unbeaten in their last three league games. Belenenses are in 7th and European qualification looks far off as the blue shirts are failing to gain maximum points. In the league they have one win in their last five, but the problem for Belenenses is finishing off opponents beneath them in the league. Nacional, Penefial and Academica have all stunned Belenenses with a 0-0 draw being the most shocking against Penefial who are currently in the relegation zone. Vitoria also have head to head clashes on their side before the ball is kicked on Sunday. Out of eight meetings, seven of them have resulted in the Vitoria Guimaraes coming out on top. This could be the same pattern come Sunday.
