Birmingham vs Rotherham: Birmingham win

Rotherham are slipping closer to the relegation place, one win in their last five and a slight resurgence in form from Wigan means they are looking tentatively over their shoulders. Birmingham are in pretty good form, having lost only one of their last five and are unbeaten in their last three home games. I can see them extending that run this Friday.

Yeovil vs Chesterfield: Chesterfield win

Yeovil are bottom of League One and have lost four in a row, meaning that relegation looks like a very real threat to them this season. Back to back wins have propelled Chesterfield into the playoffs and they need to build on that momentum with plenty of sides around them still in the hunt for one of those places and a trip to Yeovil gives them a great chance to do just that. Both sides have plenty to play for but Chesterfield should edge this one.

Newport vs Hartlepool: Newport win

Hartlepool are somehow one of the form teams in League Two picking up four wins in a row and that has made safety very possible. They travel to a Newport County side in the playoffs on Friday in what should be a good game between two sides high on confidence and belief. Despite Hartlepool’s resurgence I think Newport should have enough to see them off and keep their dreams of promotion alive.

Cambridge United vs Bury: Bury win

Bury are pushing for automatic promotion and will be looking to keep pace with the sides above them as they travel to a Cambridge United side who’s season has tailed off somewhat. Just five points from safety Cambridge need to be careful they don’t get pulled into a relegation battle. Bury have won their last three and should make it four in a row on Friday.
