Breeders Cup 2013 Preview and Free £25 Bet

The Breeders Cup Mile is an interesting race from a punters perspective, Wise Dan is installed as favourite his 13^th consecutive race at 5/6, Olympic Glory 5/1, Silver Max 6/1, Magician 10/1, bar the rest. It is likely that if Wise Dan hadn’t ran 2^nd to Silver Max last time out in the Shadwell Mile then his price would be much shorter than it is. Wise Dan’s winning streak was brought to an end when he was found trailing Silver Max and wasn’t able to pick up on the straight, the trainer said that this was down to the race being switched from the turf track to the dirt but Wise Dan never looked his usual self in that race.

The strongest challenger in the field is the second favourite, Olympic Glory who convincingly won the Group 1 QEII on Champions Day at Ascot last time out is here to try and spoil the party for Wise Dan. Olympic Glory boasts some strong form such as when beaten a neck by mighty impressive Moonlight Cloud in France. Olympic Glory’s form is certainly up to winning this race but there are many factors as to why he may not show his form at Santa Anita, Olympic Glory has yet to face a track with two turns, something that a lot of Europeans struggle with. The Breeders Cup Mile has come quickly for him as he only ran two weeks ago at Ascot, last year Excelebration tried a similar route and looked like he hadn’t fully recovered from his last race when well beaten. Olympic Glory has the class but there are a few doubts, a huge plus point is the booking of champion jockey Richard Hughes who rode him to win last time out.
