Brazil v Chile 5pm GMT

The first last 16 game sees Brazil take on Chile in a spicy looking all South American clash.

Brazil produced a mixed bag in the group, a controversial penalty allowed them to beat Croatia 3-1 in their opener before being held to a 0-0 draw by a resilient Mexico side. They finished up by battering Cameroon 4-1, which may say as much about Cameroon’s quality than Brazil’s. They played well in ebbs and flows but Neymar consistently impressed with his goalscoring and creativity. He looks very much a different beast in the Yellow of the Selecao than in the blue and red of Barcelona.

Chile looked to have a tough task getting to this stage but made easy work of obtaining Group B’s second place. They opened up with a 3-1 win over Australia before very impressively beating reigning World Champions Spain 2-0. A win over the Dutch was just beyond them and they had to settle for second place. Their big name player Alexis Sanchez has impressed on the big stage but so have the likes of Charles Aranguiz in midfield. They play quick strong counter-attacking football that will definitely trouble a Brazil defense that hasn’t always looked the most watertight.

Chile can definitely trouble this Brazil defense but Brazil will also be hoping to take their performances up a notch in the next out rounds. With both of these sides capable of scoring goals, get on Brazil to win and both teams to score at 23/10 with Coral.

Uruguay v Colombia 9pm GMT

Second up on Saturday night is Uruguay v Colombia and there will only one man to talk about in the build up to this game and he isn’t even playing!

Yes, the big story surrounding this match is that Luis Suarez has been banned from all football for 4 months for his bite on Italian defender Chiellini and has thrown Uruguay’s World Cup plans in to disarray.

The Uruguayan’s scraped out of the group, losing to Costa Rica in their opener before beating a lackluster England side and only a last minute winner against Italy saw them through. They far from impressed in their group matches and especially the first one in which they were without Luis Suarez.

A team who far from scraped through were Colombia who romped to the top of Group C. They opened up with a comfortable 3-0 win over Greece and followed that up with two more wins over Ivory Coast and Japan in a group they made look easy. Their were worries that Colombia would miss star man Falcao who has been missing through injury but that hasn’t been a problem with James Rodriguez providing all the creativity required and goals coming from all over the team.

The odds surprised me with this one but after watching these two in the groups and seeing how poor Uruguay were without Suarez, Colombia have got to be the team to back here, they are at evens with Bet365, a bet worth taking.
