World Cup 2014 Betting Tips: Group E

We continue our look at each World Cup Group now and turn our attention to Group E for which we have free World Cup 2014 betting tips and predictions.

This group sees European heavyweights France and Switzerland compete against Ecuador and Honduras. World Cup 2014 betting odds show that the two Europeans are big favorites to qualify with France best priced at 1/5 and Switzerland at 8/11. Ecuador are at 21/20 while Honduras are a massive 7/1.

So as you can see France are huge favorites and with their quality they should qualify from this group and I do fancy Switzerland. Ecuador aren’t the best of the South American teams and Switzerland are 8^th in the World. The Swiss possess the likes of Gokhan Inler, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Xherdan Shaqiri and Valon Behrami. It is a very strong side so I fancy them to join the French in the next round.

Switzerland and France both to qualify are 11/10 with Ladbrokes and these are the best two sides in the group so this looks the good bet here.

France do have bags of talent to display here but they have a history of making mistakes on the big stage. Since they won it in 1998, they have failed to qualify twice from the group and finished second in the competition overall back in 2006. I do feel they will get through this time with Ecuador and Honduras hardly the strongest but Switzerland are a well organized good side who came through qualifying unbeaten. France finished second in their qualifying group but they did have to compete with the might of Spain.

I simply feel Switzerland have the consistency here to come out on top, the Swiss are 11/4 to win the group with Bet365 and this is a massive price in what could be a tight fight for the top between France and Switzerland, I really like the look of the Swiss and they made our way in to the Group Stage accumulator.
