For each day throughout the World Cup our football editor (@AlexPeace93) will be running you through his best bets for that day’s World Cup action for some World Cup 2014 betting tips.

This is in addition to our extensive range of match previews which can be seen here.

Mexico v Cameroon 5PM GMT

Mexico are expected to be in direct competiton with Croatia for second spot in Group B this summer so three points against group underdogs Cameroon are a must. The Mexicans come in to this on the back of consecutive 1-0 defeats against Portugal and Bosnia. Cameroon’s recent friendlies saw them win two, draw one and lose one match so their form is also mixed.

Neither side are  particularly strong defensively for my money. Mexico have kept just 4 clean sheets in 15 matches and both teams have scored in 4 of Cameroon’s last six. With 10 of Mexico’s last 15 also seeing both sides score this looks like a good bet here. There are some good attacking players in either side so at 13/10 with Coral, both teams to score offers good value.

Spain v Holland 8PM GMT

Friday’s biggest game is undoubtedly the clash between Spain and Holland as two of Europe’s elite go head to head. Spain are of course reigning World and European champions and these two met in the 2010 World Cup Final when Spain won 1-0 AET.

Spain as we all know like to get the ball and keep it. I expect them to do this against Holland. Their last four victories at World Cup’s were all 1-0 and they only conceded one goal at the Euros 2 years ago. Spain to Win and under 2.5 goals is a nice looking 9/4 with Bet365, Holland may have masses of attacking talent but Spain are well drilled and disciplined and they have only managed four goals in their last five matches.

Spain v Holland Betting Tip:

Spain to Win and Under 2.5 Goals – Bet Here at 9/4 with Bet365.

Chile v Australia 11PM GMT

The final game on Friday sees Chile take on Australia as they hope to ramp up the pressure on the two sides above them. Chile are many peoples dark horse at the World Cup and we all saw when they played England at Wembley how good they are. Defeats away to Brazil and Germany are their only recent blemishes with the other 13 of their last fifteen matches seeing them fail to lose. Australia’s 3 warm-up friendlies saw them fail to win – losing to Ecuador and Croatia and drawing with South Africa. It is a very weak squad and they should struggle in Brazil.

Chile are determined to face-off with Holland to get out of this group so a win here is an absolute must. Australia played France and Brazil last year and lost both of them 6-0. In fact looking back at their last  8 matches against World Cup 2014 teams they have won just once.

Chile are a strong side and Australia aren’t it should be a comfortable evening for Chile and a win to nil looks a good bet with the Aussies form considered.

Chile v Australia Betting Tip: Chile to Win to Nil –
