The Grand National is the world’s most famous steeplechase and William Hill are non-runner no bet on all bets placed after 8am on Monday 25th March.

This means you can place an ante-post bet on the Grand National, taking place on Saturday 6th April and if your selection doesn’t line up at Aintree, you will get your stake refunded back to you.

The Aintee spectacular will see a maximum of 40 runners go to post and there is always value in getting your bets on early because bookmakers are notorious for slashing the odds on runners as the big day approaches. This is what makes the William Hill non-runner no bet rule so appealing.

Currently On His Own is the 8/1 favourite with Prince De Beauchene and Seabass both at 10/1. Cappa Bleu is 12/1 and there are no less than four horses locked together at 16/1. Of the bigger priced runners Balthazar King, who swerved Cheltenham is a 33/1 shot as is last year’s runner Treacle and Big Fella Thanks is a lively outsider at 40/1.

If you are having a bet on the Grand National ante-post make sure you do it with a firm who are non-runner, no bet and William Hill are exactly that.
