Weekend's Best Horse Racing Tips – By now I had seriously hoped (maybe prayed) that this weather would have relented and we would be racing on decent ground but it is not to be and every national hunt track inspects ahead of this Saturday’s fixtures. With that in mind i’ve split my two best bets for this weekend's racing between Lingfield and Warwick.
With the safety net offered by all-weather racing we may as well start there to guarantee at least one runner regardless of the weather. Tony Carroll is as wise a trainer as you are likely to meet and thoroughly deserving of all the winners his yard have been firing in over the past few years. He will hopefully add to that tally with WAVING (1/1 bet365) in the1.30pm at Lingfield this afternoon. Although little more than a seller (sorry to connections, but its true), he did win with a bit in hand at Wolverhampton last time out and off a 1lb higher mark, a repeat of that run ought to be good enough to double up this afternoon. He beat Fair Breeze a length with the pair well clear, and in a very poor race, I am hoping favourite backers get off to a flying start.
Over the jumps at Warwick it looks as if Willie Mullins has found some relatively easy pickings for GLENS MELODY (11/8 Coral) in the Listed Mares race at 2.05pm. She won at the track last time out over a quarter of a mile less but has won over this trip and beyond at home in Ireland and handles the boggy conditions she seems odds on to face this afternoon. Add to that her trainers excellent record and you can see why she ought to be a good thing (famous last words!) here, and on a tricky day she is about the best I can come up with until the rain goes away at last.
