Watford and new boss Quique Flores have taken life in the Premier League firmly in their stride and are currently well-placed in tenth position in the league table. The Hornets have only lost one of their six matches so far – this was away to Manchester City – and have won their last two games on the bounce against both Swansea and Newcastle.

At the back, Flores' men have been particularly well organised with three clean sheets and only five goals conceded in all their games to date. However, the partnership of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo has really sprung into life in the last couple of outings, with the latter having already notched four goals already this campaign.

Opponents Crystal Palace head into the match off the back of a couple of disappointing defeats. It's fair to say, The Eagles certainly didn't deserve to lose either of their matches against both Spurs and Manchester City. On a different day, they may well have taken points from these games.

However, Palace returned to winning ways this week after comfortably seeing off Charlton in the League Cup. Dwight Gayle scored a fine hat-trick that will surely stake a claim for his inclusion from the start against Watford this weekend.

This match is an incredibly tough one to call and I really can make a case for both sides. Watford are unbeaten at home this season and have won their last two matches. Palace, however, are the away specialists having won 8 of their 11 matches on their travels under Pardew. With these facts in mind, I can see both sides cancelling themselves out in a draw.
