Today's racing tips come from every single one of the nine Channel 4 live races today and our racing tipster has picked out his best bet in each race.

Today's Racing Tips

1.45 Goodwood

Remote is one to put in the radar this season, however, after a two year lay-off its difficult to back. Instead, Granduer is the selection in this contest. Jeremy Noseda's charge has ran respectably in his two starts this season and should continue to progress.

2.00 Haydock

Seymour wasn't far behind at York last time and should improve. Last season, he beat Alan King's Karerak at Kempton, who went to tack up a rating of 142 over hurdles during the National Hunt season last campaign. Having blown his winter cobwebs out, Brian Ellison's charge should go close.

2.15 Goodwood

Ayrad has been mixing with some top-class horses in his past two runs and ran in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II on Champions Day last season when just 10 lengths behind winner, Noble Mission. This is a significant drop down in class and should this four-year-old should appreciate the weaker competition on offer.

2.30 Haydock

Matarakez was a fine winner last time in a solid handicap at Sandown and looks a Group horse in the making. He's been raised ten pounds for his last victory and this lightly-raced three-year-old looks a horse on an upward spiral.

2.45 Curragh

Sole Power is the classy horse in the race, however, has never won over six furlongs and may struggle to get cover on the wide track of the Curragh. Instead, the ever consistent Gordon Lord Byron looks good enough to win. Tom Hogan's charge has run some top-class races at various distances, however, this trip looks his best having won the Sprint Stakes impressively on Champions Day last term.

2.55 Goodwood

This looks an intriguing handicap and Mullionheir can continue to improve. He was an impressive four length winner last time out at Lingfield and won with a bit in hand that day – his mark of 82 looks on the lienient side.

3.10 Haydock

Eddie Lynham has a very good crop of sprinters at his stable and runs Gathering Power here. This five-year-old was second in the race last year and having had two runs already this season, he'll be plenty fit to go one better.

3.20 Curragh

Gleneagles should be a runaway winner in this contest, so I'll make an each-way selection instead. Dermot Weld is a trainer of the highest class and Tombelaine looks a decent price. He was behind Gleneagles, John F Kennedy and Ol' Man River as a two-year-old and shaped well when winning a Listed race at the Curragh on seasonal reappearance and looked he would come on from the run.

3.45 Haydock

The Temple Stakes looks a sound renewal this year and Hot Steak can defend his crown. Kevin Ryan's charge was highly touted last year and, although disappointing in the closing stages of the season, should become a real player in the sprint division this year. He ran respectably at Longchamp last month and should come on for this contest.
