The Best Bets in the Premier League for Saturday 20 April

premier-league.jpg

All the Premier League matches on Saturday kick-off at 3pm this week, and having looked in detail at each of the fixtures and the betting markets we bring you our best single bets:

Fulham vs Arsenal

As they continue their quest for a Champions League place, Arsenal can win away at Craven Cottage in this London derby.  Both sides failed to score in midweek, but the Gunners have the superior fire-power and should collect all three points.

Best bet:  Arsenal to win – 3/4 with BetVictor

Norwich vs Reading

This is a massive game for both sides in the battle to avoid the drop, and with home advantage Norwich can put another nail in Reading’s coffin with a victory that would greatly enhance their own chances of survival.  The Royals have lost ten of their last eleven away league matches and I don’t see that run improving at Carrow Road.

Best bet:  Norwich to win – 3/4 with bet365

QPR vs Stoke City

Stoke are struggling badly for points and need a win but I fear they won’t get much at QPR.  In fact I reckon Stoke will join QPR in The Championship next season.  A Rangers’ victory in this match will move Stoke another step closer to relegation but it won’t be enough to save their own skin either.

Best bet:  QPR to win – 5/4 with Betfred

Sunderland vs Everton

The Toffees’ push for a Champions League spot could come to a halt at the Stadium Of Light against Paulo Di Canio’s Sunderland who will be buoyed by a fantastic victory at Newcastle last week.  Everton have failed to win any of their last five away league matches, whilst Sunderland know that a victory on home turf will go a long way towards securing top-flight football next season.

Best bet:  Sunderland to win – 13/10 with BetVictor

Swansea vs Southampton

Both sides are probably now safe from the drop as they sit in the reasonable comfort of mid-table.  When these two played each other back in November at St Mary’s the result was a 1-1 draw and that is probably the most likely outcome again.

Best bet:  Draw – 5/2 with bet365

West Brom vs Newcastle

After a demoralising loss at home to their fiercest rivals last weekend, Newcastle will be keen to bounce back with a much-needed victory at The Hawthorns.  If they are to do so, The Magpies will need to improve drastically on an away record that has seen them lose nine of their last eleven matches on the road.  West Brom have had a decent season, although have failed to win any of their last three matches.  Despite that woeful away record, Newcastle will be the hungrier for the three points and they can gain an unlikely victory in the Midlands.

Best bet:  Newcastle to win – 12/5 with bet365

West Ham vs Wigan

West Ham forced Man United to come from behind twice at Upton Park in midweek to earn a 2-2 draw, with Andy Carroll the star performer.  Wigan are the league’s maverick escape artists and spring-time is usually Latics-time.  Roberto Martinez’s side occupy the last relegation place and are three points adrift of Aston Villa who have played a game more.  Wigan will be gunning for a victory but may have to settle for a point against a West Ham side who have lost only one of their last six home league matches.

Best bet:  Draw – 5/2 with BetVictor

If you fancy a huge return then combining these selections into a seven-match accumulator pays an eye-watering 973/1 with BetVictor!
