Scotland host Group A leaders Belgium in this World Cup Qualifier at Hampden Park on Friday night in what should be a cracking atmosphere.

The home side have had a fairly disastrous campaign, which already sees them unable to qualify for Brazil next year. However, the feel-good factor seems to be returning for Scotland under boss Gordon Strachan. This is a crucial game for the Belgians who lead Croatia by three points at the top of the group, and have picked up six wins and a draw in their seven outings so far. The Red Devils will be desperate to make it to Brazil, having failed to qualify for a major tournament since the World Cup back in 2002. Their star-studded squad is absolutely littered with top talents, most of whom are young and star in The Premier League, and their staggering form has seen them lose only two of their last 17 games. To maintain this record in Glasgow, the Belgians must do without the services of captain and centre-back Vincent Kompany, who is sidelined with an injury picked up whilst playing for Manchester City.

Belgium left it late to defeat Scotland 2-0 in the reverse fixture in Brussels, and may find it more difficult than many imagine to pick up the three points in Glasgow. Scotland usually raise their game at Hampden against the top sides, and in my opinion might just sneak a draw against all odds in Glasgow.
