Horse racing betting tips for each race shown live on Channel 4 on Day 2 of Royal Ascot.

The second day of Royal Ascot only provides the single Group 1 contest but there are plenty of other competitive races to get stuck into.  Here is a tip for each race shown live on Channel 4 this afternoon.

2.30pm Jersey Stakes

Ireland look to have a good hand here led by SUDIRMAN (20/1 SkyBet) who was far too keen in the first time blinkers first time back this year.  He was a Group 1 winner as a juvenile, running against the likes of Toormore.  Better ground and seven furlongs might be what he is looking for.

It's no surprise to see Mustajeeb drop back from a mile having failed to get home in very soft conditions in the Irish 2000 Guineas.  He probably wouldn't want the ground too quick but has a nice draw to work from.

Betting Tip – SUDIRMAN (E/W) (20/1 SkyBet)

3.05pm Queen Mary Stakes

Richard Hannon is typically well represented in this juvenile contest.  Tiggy Wiggy, the mount of Richard Hughes, is one of the more exposed runners but is a triple winner while Ryan Moore rides C&D winner Dangerous Moonlight.

Any Wesley Ward juvenile has to be respected and he fields Spanish Pipedream, a typical point and shoot speedball who won comfortably on her Keeneland debut.  The vote though goes to ANTHEM ALEXANDER (7/2 bet365) for whom the drop to five furlongs on quick ground looked perfect last time, winning at Tipperary in the form of a very good filly.

Betting Tip – ANTHEM ALEXANDER (WIN) (7/2 bet365)

3.45pm Prince Of Wales’s Stakes

Treve is one of the most exciting horses in training, unbeaten until she met Cirrus Des Aigles last time.  She is the clear form pick but she has a bit to prove on quicker ground.  The fairer sex are also represented by The Fugue who was really disappointing last time we saw her but has been a top class performer for a few years.

Magician best The Fugue when they met at the Breeders Cup in November.  He is another who has been a little below par of late but needs respecting.  The vote goes to MUKHADRAM (13/2 Betfred) who was a gallant runner-up in this race last year, he may well get the run of the race and the quicker the ground the better.

Betting Tip – MUKHADRAM (WIN) (13/2 Betfred)

4.25pm Duke Of Cambridge Stakes

Sky Lantern was the best of her generation at this trip last year winning the 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes.  This represents a tough test on her seasonal debut and the Group 1 winners penalty makes it even worse.  Certify returned from a long absence with a success at Meydan before possibly bouncing last time, she looks the best of the E/W prices.

Esoterique and INTEGRAL (3/1 Ladbrokes) clashed last time at Newmarket with the former coming out narrowly on top.  She had the fitness edge on the runner-up so the form is likely to be reversed here and at the weights Integral is the one to beat.

Betting Tip – INTEGRAL (WIN)(NAP) (3/1 Ladbrokes)

5.00pm Royal Hunt Cup

Any number with a chance in the Hunt Cup, a real cavalry charge over a mile.  Short Squeeze had the look of more than a handicapper when running up a sequence last season but this is a tough pipe opener.  Trumpet Major didn't quite get home over further last time but was travelling beautifully at this distance while ARTIGIANO (28/1 Coral) looks a very lively outsider both on his Group form from 2012 and his Nottingham return.

BELGIAN BILL (20/1 William Hill) and Prince Of Johanne are the two most recent winners of this race so appeal as E/W chances.  Sea Shanty and Abseil are both recent winners and as such are respected, especially the latter who still appeared very green on the Epsom undulations last time.

Betting Tips – ARTIGIANO (E/W) (28/1 Coral)

                    – BELGIAN BILL (E/W) (20/1 William Hill)

5.35pm Sandringham Handicap

MAJEYDA (14/1 William Hill) and Queen Catrine both take a marked drop in class here having taken in Group 1 races of late and both should go well.  Muteela puts her unbeaten record on the line after showing rapid progression through the handicap ranks.  This is tougher but she is still unexposed.

LAMAR (28/1 Betfred) and Oxsana are both interesting, looking overpriced in an easier contest than they have been in of late with the former especially ranking higher than her recent form figures show.

Betting Tips – MAJEYDA (WIN) (14/1 William Hill)

                    – LAMAR (E/W) (28/1 Betfred)
