This year’s Royal Ascot gets underway on Tuesday 18^th June with the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes kicking-off five days of seven race cards, including no less than 17 group races and seven Group 1s.

Tuesday 18^th June has three Group 1 clashes and after Frankel lit up the meeting in the opener last year, it is Animal Kingdom who is expected to be the first horse in the winners enclosure in 2013.

Wednesday’s feature race is the Price of Wales’ Stakes due off at 3.45pm but the ultra-competitive Royal Hunt Cup and the Queen Mary Stakes provide a valuable undercard.

Thursday’s schedule at Royal Ascot give us The Ascot Gold Cup as the feature with the winner of the Group 1 set to collect over £250,000 and that race is supported by the Norfolk Stakes and the Ribblesdale Stakes.

Friday kicks off with the Albany Stakes at 2.30pm and the Coronation Stakes is the feature of the fourth day, due off at 3.45pm.

The final day of Royal Ascot, Saturday 22^nd June, offers up the fantastic sprint that attracts horse from all over the world, the Golden Jubilee Stakes and the five days of racing concludes with the Queen Alexandra Stakes at 5.35pm.
