2.20 Ascot

The first race in our accumulator is a Group 2 sprint over six furlongs.  It is quite easy to strike a lot of horses off the list as many are pretty average handicappers however VIZTORIA (7/1 bet365) is comfortably better than that level.  This Oratorio filly has shown high class form up to this Grade and deserves another big race victory.  Trainer Eddie Lynam won this last year and Viztoria also finished third after staying on well to the line.  The ground is likely to be much more testing this time around which will suit her and, after comfortably winning a Listed race last time out, she should have have enough in hand to place at least.

3.30 Ascot

Next up is the QEII Stakes and INTEGRAL (6/1 Betfred) has shown that she truly belongs at this level and should run another big race.  She won what looked like a very high class renewal of the Sun Chariot Stakes beating three good quality French horses in the process.  On ratings she has a little to find with the market principles but she should be able to do just that and add to her tally of three wins already this season.  Night Of Thunder and Charm Spirit both have solid claims but Andrew Balding’s Tullius will love the ground and may be the biggest threat to the selection. 

4.05 Ascot

The highlight of the event is the Champion Stakes over 1m2f and CIRRUS DES AIGLES (11/8 William Hill) returns to try and win this for the second time. Realistically, the horse could have notched up three wins already were it not for the likes of Frankel and last year’s winner – Farhh.  The field for this year’s renewal has been decimated due to the weather, something which will not concern the French superstar, and he should have ideal conditions in which to end his season on a high.  Free Eagle could potentially be the biggest threat with his three-year-old allowance and unexposed profile, however serious doubts exist about the ground and he may well not run at all.
