1.45 Ascot

Leading Light looks the best stayer but is he has questions to answer on soft ground.  Estimate bids to finish her career in style but may have to give best to the unexposed FORGOTTEN RULES (7/2 Ladbrokes) who demolished a good field on soft at Galway.

2.20 Ascot

G Force deserves his place at the head of the market however, although he finished within the placings on soft ground, very heavy ground is a question mark.  Gordon Lord Byron and Maarek have better soft ground form but may be inconvenienced by the draw so preference is for GREGORIAN (10/1 bet365) who should be suited by today’s conditions.

2.55 Ascot

Seal Of Approval won this contest 12 months ago and has conditions to suit but she has performed below par of late.  Hadaatha is a beautiful filly who took the step up to Group 1 level last time in her stride, the ground is an unknown quantity but she is open to plenty of improvement.  The vote though goes to TASADAY (10/1 William Hill) who always loved soft ground in France and looks overpriced.

3.30 Ascot

The three-year-olds look to have a strong hand here in CHARM SPIRIT (3/1 Paddy Power) and Night Of Thunder.  The former is preferred on this surface while Custom Cut is another to consider as he's in rude health and acts with plenty of cut.

4.05 Ascot

Lady Cecil has done well with Noble Mission who hasn't looked quite so difficult this year.  He should be the biggest threat to CIRRUS DES AIGLES (11/8 Betfred) but the French raider looks like he will be very hard to beat.  This multiple Group 1 winner is suited best to ground with plenty of cut and should be able to claim another contest at the highest level.

4.45 Ascot

A massive field to end the card with so its worth splitting stakes with one each side of the draw.  The drop back down to a mile, and a return to softer ground, will suit CHATEZ (9/1 bet365).  The yard are in great form and he still has room for improvement.  SIRIUS PROSPECT (25/1 William Hill) always runs well in these types of races and, off a slightly lower mark than placed off of late, he can get involved again.
