Nice to beat Lorient 6/4:

Nice plan to make way for an adventure into the top half of the Ligue 1 table this weekend, when Lorient travel to the Allianz Riviera. Nice have been on a good run of form during their last five games, picking up a total of eight points with the pick of the bunch being a win away from home against ex giants of the French league, Marseille. Shortly after, Nice continued to stay a strong force holding back the likes of Bordeaux and St Etienne to a 1-1 draw. Their last home game was a battle against expected champions, PSG and the team from the capital defeated Nice by a narrow margin, 1-0. Lorient arrive into this match three places below Nice in 14th position and one stage during this competition, the orange shirts of Brittany were looking a good outfit in the top half of the table. However, away from home, Lorient have failed to perform and haven’t gained three points in their last seven attempts on the road. Last weekend, Lorient drew against Reims and never offered a threat to their challengers, and the match previous to Reims was a bustle against relegation candidates, Sochaux who again they failed to defeat.  Nice should take this match with open hands.

Borussia Mochengladbach to beat Stuttgart 17/20:

Borussia Mochengladbach are still hungry for an European adventure for next season and after beating Nurnberg 2-0 and Hamburg 3-1 in their last two games, the top of the league has became wide open once again. With these points gained and with Leverkusen falling again, Borrussia Mochengladbach have breached into 4th position and their next quest will be to catch up with Schalke who lie in 3rd position. Monchengladbach have also evaporated their poor form at Borussia Park after beating Hertha Berlin and Hamburger with a comfortable three goal score line. Now they will face a Stuttgart team that has only just begun to ignite a battle against relegation. For Stuttgart, relegation would be a disaster, a club that holds a history of never been relegated, and after beating Frieburg at home, an essence of life has now been injected into the side. They will need this injection for another week running as their away form has contributed to their fall down the places. Stuttgart are without a win in five trips away from the Mercedes -Benz Arena and by conceding a total of two goals on average, this task will prove to be even tougher against a hungry Monchengladbach.

Wolfsburg to beat Nurnberg 8/13:

Wolfsburg currently occupy the last Europa league spot and after losing against Borussia Dortmund last weekend, the wolfs of the Bundesliga will be setting out once again to find their prey. Wolfsburg will be also disappointed because the match against Borussia Dortmund witnessed a valiant and attacking performance, especially in the first half when Wolfsburg took charge of the game. The Volkswagen Arena will need some inspiration if Wolfsburg want to claim a place in Europe this season, and this should begin with a victory against a team threatened with relegation. Time is slowly running out for Nurnberg and with teams around them above and below gaining points, the task of surviving has turned into a new difficulty level. Nurnberg have lost four out of their last five games, conceding on average, a total of two goals both home and away. Wolfsburg will want to take a bite out of Nurnberg.

Sporting to beat Gil Vicente 1/4:

Sporting Lisbon continue with their catch up plans, as they fight to stay in the title race with fierce rivals and neighbours, Benfica in the Portugal Premier League. Sporting have been on fire and have notched up four straight wins on the bounce making them unbeaten in six games. At home, title challengers, Porto were beaten 1-0 and European hopefuls, Braga were also defeated at the Estadio Jose Alvalade. Gil Vetence will be travelling from Barcelos and this could be a case of David and Goliath. Gil Vicente lost against relegation threatened Belenenses last weekend and have now failed to find a win in their last four attempts.
