Arsenal to beat Aston Villa

The Gunners have a strong record against Villa and are undefeated in 27 of their last 29 meetings. Arsene Wenger has a pretty settled squad from last season, and although Villa are expected to continue their good progress under Paul Lambert this season, they may struggle to pick-up any points in this tricky opener at The Emirates.

Burnley to beat Yeovil

The Clarets have made a great start to the season, and whilst Yeovil were unlucky to go down in defeat at home to Birmingham last week, they may struggle against an in-form Burnley side on their own turf.

Millwall to beat Huddersfield

The Lions have yet to pick up any points this season, but this home fixture against Huddersfield represents a good opporunity to get off the mark. The Terriers held QPR to a draw last weekend and cannot be written-off, but I'll side with Millwall to gain a narrow victory.

QPR to beat Ipswich

Ipswich will take plenty of confidence from last week's 3-0 victory over Millwall, but there is little doubt they will be up against it against QPR at Loftus Road. The Hoops have a strong squad and should comfortably dispose of the Tractor Boys on home turf.

Walsall to beat Notts County

Walsall will aim to protect an impressive home record that now shows 15 matches unbeaten in League One. Although they have lost their last three matches at the Bescot Stadium against Notts County, I fancy them to stop that rot and register a convincing win.
