England v Peru Betting Tips and Predictions

England kick their World Cup preparations up a notch as they welcome Peru to Wembley on Friday 30^th May for a friendly and we have some free World Cup betting tips.

The FIFA World Cup kicks-off in just over two weeks time. England's tropical opener against Italy is only 18 days away. Between now and the Italy game England have three warm-up games the first of which is at Wembley against Peru.

Whilst international friendlies can often be dull/pointless affairs as managers chop and change I'm not expecting this to be the case here. Hodgson got England together for a tough week's training in Portugal and everything was highly professional. Peru meanwhile are in a rebuilding stage. They finished ten points off the playoffs and aren't going to the World Cup. To put things in perspective Peru failed to win in the last six matches losing five and drawing one. They aren't going to be anything like the test that Chile, for example, were.

I still think England will win however. Just not by much. Less 2.5 goals in the match is available at 11/10 with William Hill and that seems very plausible. Peru know that the way to beat England is to sit back, force England to try to pass through you and him them on the counter-attack. Such tactics are not going to create a match with lots of goals.

As a departing tip it's always worth looking at the goalscorers. Wayne Rooney has been working hard at his fitness and oddly enough his World Cup form could have been helped by the injuries he picked up throughout the season.
