Dubai World Cup Night Betting Tips

Race 1: Dubai Kahayala Classic 12.30pm

Last year’s winner Seraphin De Paon takes his chance again but was beten by Neishan in earlier in the year at Meydan who was also second in this race last year. The French trained Neishan looks to have improved from 12 months ago and can take the spoils in the opener.

Tip: NEISHAN to win at 5/1 with Ladbrokes (bet £10 get £30 free at Ladbrokes)

Race 2: Godolphin Mile 1.10pm

This race has been dominated by Saeed Bin Surror in the past with him winning almost half the former races and Alpha looks the most interesting of his runners drawn in stall one. Favourite Soft Falling Rain hasn’t got the ideal draw so we are siding with Surfer who didn’t get home over 2,000m so drops back in trip here.

Tip: SURFER to win at 10/1 with Bet Victor (get £25 free at Bet Victor)

Race 3: Dubai Gold Cup 1.45pm

Godolphin have had the winner of this race in the past three years and are triple handed again here but it is the Aiden O’Brian trained Imperial Monarch who is favourite. Stall One is the ideal draw but he could get boxed in on the rail over the 2 mile trip so we are going back to Godolphin and taking a chance on Cavelryman who was impressive at the start of last season and finished third on his comeback run.

Tip: CAVALRYMAN each-way at 6/1 with RaceBets (get £100 free at Racebets)

Race 4: UAE Derby 2.25pm

The favourite for this race is the unbeaten Secret Number trained by Saeed Bin Suroor but his recent success on the Tapeta surface turned out to be one of the slowest ever times over the distance so our fancy is Lines of Battle who finished sixth in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf when drawn out in stall 14. He is drawn much better in four here and was impressive on his All Weather run at Dundalk.

Tip: LINES OF BATTLE to win at 8/1 with Betfred (get a free £50 bet at Betfred)

Race 5: Al Quoz Sprint 3.05pm

Favourite Shea Shea is the buzz horse of the meeting, holding the 5 furlong course record at Meydan but his draw out in seven isn’t ideal. Sole Power and last year’s winner Joy and Fun take their chance but we look to the American speedster Varsity who’s 54.17sec time caught Mike De Kock’s attention and at 20/1 he could well run into a place.

Tip: VARSITY each-way at 20/1 with William Hill (open a new William Hill account and get £25 free)

Race 6: Dubai Golden Shaheen 3.45pm

The draw will be key for this 6F dash and Gordon Lord Byron holds an inside post in stall 2 coming off a busy 2012 and a 4th place finish in the Hong Kong Mile. Trinninberg could be one to steal this from the front out of stall three however we are siding with the fantastically named Reynaldothewizard who won his prep race earlier this month and has been place in half of his career starts.

Tip: REYNALDOTHEWIZARD each-way at 10/1 with RaceBets (get £100 free at RaceBets)

Race 7: Dubai Duty Free 4.40pm

Trade Storm is the favourite here but his hold up racing style could lead to all kinds of problems around Meydan while Little Mick will look to employ front running tactics and dictate from the van. Our tip for this one is Shajjaa for Godolphin who has a fantastic record around Meydan, winning on all three starts, the latest being a Group One success.

Tip: SHAJJAA to win at 8/1 with Sky Bet (get a no deposit free £10 at Sky Bet)

Race 8: Dubai Sheema Classic 5.20pm

Aiden O’Brian’s St Nicholas Abbey will once again have his supporters and he has not won as many races as he deserves to have done running into the likes of Frankel and Snow Fairy in his career but this race is all about the Japanese superstar Gentildonna who is unbeaten to date, just holding off Orferve recently.

Tip: GENTILDONNA to win at 6/4 with William Hill (get £25 free at William Hill)

Race 9: Dubai World Cup 6.05pm

Last year’s winner Monterosso looks to become the first horse to retain the World Cup but faces a tough task with the likes of Royal Delta, Hunter’s Light and Animal Kingdom lining up, however a chance is taken on the Andre Fabre trained outsider Meandre, who could have ran in a few races here but the World Cup was chosen suggesting the surface won’t be a problem and at 20/1 could well emulate Monterosso’s achievements of last year.

Tip: MEANDRE each-way at 20/1 with Betfred (claim £50 free at Betfred)
