The Cheltenham Festival starts on Tuesday 11th March when the Cheltenham Roar will send the runners on their way in the Supreme Novices Hurdle and today we are taking a look at the Star Sports Cheltenham tips.

There were three panellists on the jury and Claude Duval, Tom Lee and Bill Esdaile has some differing opinions when picking their best bets for Cheltenham.

Claude got proceedings underway and fancies Fox Rock in the National Hunt Chase on the opening day, Bill agreed and the horse is currently the 5/1 (William Hill) favourite. The last race of the Festival, the Grand Annual was the location for Claude’s second Cheltenham tip where he fancies Rupert Lamb at a best price 25/1 (Sky Bet).

His big priced Cheltenham Festival tip was Cole Harden who is as big as 50/1 (William Hill) for the Albert Bartlett and his final pick was Modus (10/1 Betfred) in the Champion Bumper in the final race on the Wednesday.

Tom flagged up Kid Cassidy (12/1 Stan James) as his Champion Chase betting tip given the absence of Sprinter Sacre and he has already beaten Sire de Grugy. Tiger Troll (14/1 Betfred) was Tom’s best fancy in Friday’s Triumph Hurdle and he also likes Cheltenian (14/1 Sportingbet) in Friday’s second race, the County Hurdle.

Bill kicked things off by agreeing with Claude regards Fox Rock and then took on Quevega with Sirene D’Ainay (10/1 William Hill) for his each-way OLBG Mares Hurdle betting tip. He thinks Morning Assembly (8/1 Winner) is overpriced in the RSA Chase on Wednesday 12th March. His Cheltenham Festival tips for the Albert Bartlett was Kings Palace who is the current 3/1 favourite but Bill watched him win over course and distance without even blowing. This sounded like his NAP of the Festival.
