Full race preview and free betting tips for the 2.05pm Levy Board Handicap Chase at Haydock.
Haydock hosts the first running of the Bet At Corbettsports.com Levy Board Chase over 3 miles and 11 runners have taken up the challenge. The race is worth just over £30,000 to the winner and many of these will be coming out of Cheltenham looking to bounce back to winning ways.
Cloudy Too (9/1 bet365) arrives here after contesting the Cheltenham Gold Cup where he unfortunately unseated. Before that performance, he claimed victory in a Grade 3 contest at Wetherby as well as boasting good course form. Providing he handles top weight he is likely to run a big race and should be there or there-abouts.
Shotavodka (8/1 William Hill) has some good form over much shorter distances and, if able to transfer his best performances to this longer trip, he'd have a chance. However, with the horse trying further than 2m4f for the first time, this is a huge step up and the horse is best watched to see how he handles the test.
Bold Chief (4/1 SkyBet) has some good form, steadily picking up wins in some reasonable chases over the season. The horses’ one foray into a higher class saw a heavy defeat so this looks to be another tough task against these rivals.
Hey Big Spender (12/1 Ladbrokes) is one who loves a big Saturday handicap chase and always runs to the bestow his ability. The horse registered a good win at Ascot last time and he'd certainly be the type to get involved again here.
OUR MICK (7/1 Betfred) who could well have slipped under the radar. The horse has fallen down the weights but has performed in much bigger races than this. On some of his past form, which includes a Grade 2 novice chase victory at the course, he would have a massive chance and should have the necessary experience and talent to take this race.
