ATP Queens Club Friday 14th June Preview and Tips

The grass swing is well underway as we begin the run up to Wimbledon. Friday sees the quarter finals at the Aegon Championships at Queen's Club, London with all four top 10 players still in the field. The betting is out for each of these four matches but there are two standout picks that we would like to highlight. Short odds players in Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Tomas Berdych should advance but we will concentrate on two grass court specialists against their much higher ranked opponents.

Lleyton Hewitt has been rolling back the years this week with victories over boy-wonder Grigor Dimitrov and the big serving 2010 champion Sam Querrey. The former Wimbledon winner has took the title home four years in the past and is still more than capable of playing excellent grass court tennis and dealing with the big servers. He takes on Juan Martin Del Potro who looked far from comfortable in his opener, scraping past Xavier Malisse but could easily have lost. It was much easier against Daniel Evans but given his relative struggles on grass compared to other surfaces, the Argentinian could well be in for a shock against the experienced Hewitt.

Lleyton Hewitt to beat Juan Martin Del Potro @ 2.88 (Stan James)

Benjamin Becker is another who prefers the green stuff, with winning records on the surface for the past five years despite his lack of results elsewhere. Last year saw wins against the likes of Milos Raonic and David Goffin while he also picked up a Challenger title in Nottingham prior to Wimbledon. Becker once more made the final in Nottingham this year and has been impressive in his run to the quarters, knocking off much higher ranked opponents in Lukas Rosol, Bernard Tomic and Alexandr Dolgopolov to get here. His matches have been tight this week, with opponents getting just 7 break points although four of them have been taken. While it is very difficult to see Becker coming out on top, it wouldn't be a shock at all to see two tight sets and/or at least one tiebreak.

Benjamin Becker +4.5 games over Andy Murray @ 2.04 (188Bet)

After Murray's recent injury troubles, Paddy Power are running a Money Back Offer to those who back the Brit in the outright market with refunds for up to £100. To see details of the special click here and for the relevant outright market you can back Murray at 1.90.
