After ten years with no silverware, Arsenal are chasing back to back FA Cups, and only team standing in their way is Aston Villa. Tune into BBC One at 5:30pm and here are our match predictions and betting tips.

It's been a similar old story for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, as a lack of consistency earlier in the season put pay to any chance of challenging for the league title. Once again, though, The Gunners finished the season strongly after a terrific run between January and May which saw them pick up twelve wins from fourteen matches.

However, the wheels have started to rock again in recent weeks, and Arsene Wenger's men blew an excellent chance of a runners up finish in the league after some poor displays at home to the likes of Swansea and Sunderland. They did, however, finish the season well with an excellent 4-1 home win against an unpredictable West Brom side. Theo Walcott scored a wonderful first half hat-trick and surely staked a huge claim for a start this weekend in the Arsenal v Aston Villa FA Cup final.

Arsenal's Cup run has been fairly kind to them so far though, and but for their tough away match at Manchester United, The Gunners have only faced sides from the Championship and a comfortable home tie against recently relegated Hull City. They did make extremely hard work of seeing of Reading in the semi-final, though, and were one goalkeeping blunder away from penalty kicks.

For Aston Villa, a season of utter despair under Paul Lambert has now emerged into somewhat of a success under the brief reign of Tim Sherwood. The Villains put together a decent run in the league from early March onwards and still managed to comfortably avoid relegation after losing their last two matches at an aggregate of 7-1.

Their FA Cup run has been the real surprise package this season, though, and despite being frequently tipped as one of the first Premier League teams to fall, have made it all the way to the final. Wins over Blackpool and Championship winners Bournemouth have preceded three straight victories over top flight opposition, with their brilliant 2-1 semi-final win over Liverpool the pick of the bunch. Granted they rode their luck a little after Mario Balotelli was denied a perfectly good equaliser late on, but the Midlands side were good value for their win and deserve to make up one half of the FA Cup final this weekend.

Under Sherwood, Villa have become an incredibly difficult team to predict this season. Having picked up excellent wins against the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Spurs, they have also managed to throw away leads to QPR and get thumped 6-1 by Southampton. Arsenal's poor recent performances against Swansea and Sunderland will certainly breathe optimism for the underdogs, but I still feel the North London side should have too much for them.
