As the World Cup group games draw to an end in the final Group F game, a lacklustre Argentinian side take on Nigeria who will be seeking to qualify for the Round of 16 for the first time since 1998. Nigeria, however, have managed to turn their World Cup around (unlike England!) after a frustrating draw against Iran in their opening game, they defied the odds and beat Bosnia 1-0 to almost guarantee qualification to the next round. With Nigeria sitting on 4 points in 2nd place and Iran sitting only on 1 in 3rd, Nigeria should see themselves safely into round 2 unless they suffer a heavy defeat by the Argentinians and Iran manage to beat Bosnia and achieve a better goal difference.

This game is hard to predict as Argentina may rest some of their world class squad with an eye on the latter round of the competition and Nigeria’s form has been unpredictable.
