Breeders Cup Classic betting tips: Horse racing predictions and best bet tip for the Breeders Cup Classic 2013 on Saturday 2nd November.

This weekend I come bearing bets for the other side of the world. And with leading American raider, Ron the Greek, developing a quarter crack in his right front hoof, the field for the 2013 Breeders Cup Classic is now down to eleven.

Four of last year’s race runners are set to meet again in this year’s renewal. Fort Larned, Mucho Macho Man, and Flat Out took the top three spots last year, with the favoured Game On Dude seventh. They’re back, with three of them hoping to do better but Fort Larned hoping to regain the title.

Returning to the scene of his greatest career triumph, last year’s winner Fort Larned  (11/2 Bet Victor), is proven to have the break of speed needed to succeed in this race. This season has been up and down for him, but he won his last race comfortably, and you can never dismiss a previous winner.

If Mucho Macho Man, 4/1 with William Hill, goes one better this year, it will be a first for a woman trainer has won the Breeders Cup Classic. Kathy Ritvo has had the five year old from day one, and it really would be a fairytale if this horse came in. The horse loves this track and always performs well here. He is proven to stay every bit of the mile and quarter, and for me is the one to watch.

Flat Out, 16/1 with Bet Victor, has shown nothing but consistency throughout his career. He performed admirably in the race last year, on a course that isn’t ideal for him, showing how gutsy he is.

Current favourite Game on Dude,11/4 with Bet365, has been unbeaten since this race last year. He will however have to be on his game when meeting this formidable line up. Connections believe he is a better horse than he was last year, and he will have to be if he’s to feature. The horse has even been given more time between races this year, so you can only feel that this race has been the plan for connections since finishing seventh last year.

Irish raider Declaration of War 7/1 with Sportingbet, is in his trainer Aiden O’Brien’s words, his best possibility of finally claiming victory in this race. The Queen Anne Stakes winner finished behind the likes of Al Kazeem, Moonlight Cloud and Toronado at the beginning of the season, and on this form must have a huge chance. He’s been off the course since August, and if any trainer can prime a horse for a race, it’s O’Brien.

Ryan Moore’s mount Planteur, is set to wear a hood in the race for the first time. Palace Malice is a young horse on the up, but I feel this is too much for the three year old just yet, and Will Take Charge’s last three races have been the best of his career so far.
