A course winner and a distance winner, all be them separately, Charlie Hills is responsible for this six year old son of Aussie Rules who I am picking because he has a fitness advantage over some of his rivals today. Runner up to Pretend at Wolverhampton, the winner has run and won since, as has the third (all be it in a claimer), so with the form looking good and the jockey claiming seven pounds, he looks excellent each way value here.

Ershaadaat 7/2 – 4.00pm Kempton

While Charlie Appleby is sweeping up over here Saeed Bin Suroor has been busy winning in Dubai so we know his horses are equally forward, and this daughter of Cape Cross looks overpriced in the seven furlong maiden. Sure to improve with age like her illustrious father, her place form was not as good as expected last season with a promising second followed by a disappointing fourth but with a winter on her back to grow and strengthen we all expect to see a very different filly this season.

Proofreader 6/5 – 5.10pm Kempton

Although no superstar the six year old used to be owned by Princess Haya of Jordan and trained by John Gosden before moving to Neil Mullholland who has been patient and earned his rewards. After a third to Puzzle Time over a mile and a quarter here he absolutely hacked up over course and distance and despite a six pound penalty, he ought to be easily able to shrug that off without an issue if in the same sort of form this afternoon.
