Channel 4 Horse Racing Tips

1.45 Newbury
BOTHY (8/1 William Hill) is a seasoned handicapper who has consistently performed well at the top level, he comes into this race in excellent form, and is a solid selection based on his reliability and ever present talent.

2.00 Doncaster
KINGS GREY (11/2 Paddy Power) ran honourably in behind two improvers in his latest outing. That run shows he's in fine fiddle, and he comes here on a decent mark with his ideal conditions under foot. I expect him to feature heavily in what is a very winnable race.

2.15 Newbury
RELAX (E/W) (12/1 Ladbrokes) is a real stayer who loves to bowl along in front and has been running in some very highly contested races throughout the season. When he gets his own way out in front he can be very hard to catch and conditions will help massively as he is a real mud-lark with plenty of stamina.

2.35 Doncaster
A DOLL IN MILAN (NAP) (5/2 Betfred) looked very impressive when winning first time out by 11 lengths in soft ground at Lingfield. He then took a big step-up in class and ran a decent race when finishing fourth behind the highly regarded Carrigmoorna Rock. That form is a stand out and this mare should prove too classy for her rivals.

2.50 Newbury
As a very high class performer on the flat FIRST MOHICAN (5/1 Coral) acts on all types of ground and has always been held in high regard by Alan King. He would have won but for falling at the last on his return to hurdles and he looks to have a solid chance.

3.10 Doncaster
CALL THE COPS (10/3 Paddy Power) ran a very creditable race behind a good yard stick in Brother Brian at Kempton in November on his seasonal reappearance. He was sure to have needed that run after 6 months off and he is a very strong traveller who won’t mind the conditions and should be benefitted by the step-up in trip.

3.25 Newbury
ROYAL REGATTA (7/1 William Hill) has had a fantastic season so far winning two of his four starts, is a real reliable sort who loves the mud and has a course win to his name. The step back up in trip will be of no hindrance to him, with previous wins over the distance, and Richard Johnson takes the mount who has an excellent record on this very game type.

3.45 Doncaster
MON PARRAIN (7/1 bet365) won very well at Cheltenham last time with top weight, beating some very consistent rivals. The booking of this talented claimer Sean Bowen makes him of added interest. He stays all day and he should give a good account of himself here.
