Sunday’s Horse Racing Tips

As we move into Sunday there is more horse racing today with action on the flat at Redcar, while Newton Abbot and Stratford provide the summer jumping fixtures.

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Newton Abbot Tips –

1.45 – Newton Abbot – Trainer Paul Nicholls does well at the track with his runners so his entry here RUDDY ARTICLE (Bet at 3/1 with Bet365) is the call. This former hunter chaser was a fair third last time out here last month and with the expected improvement over similar conditions looks set to run a big race – Sam Twiston-Davies riding is another plus.

3.25 – Newton Abbot – John Ferguson’s Dubai Prince is feared, based on his good win last time out, but this could be another for the Nicholls camp. They run DORMELLO MO (Bet at 6/4 with 888Sport), who comes here having won both his recent runs. Yes, the horse has to give weight away all-round, but the horse won with plenty in-hand last time out here and the drop back in trip won’t be an issue.

Redcar Tips –

4.45 – Redcar– The Ed Walker team boast an impressive 47% record with their runners here at the track so WIENER VALKYRIE (Bet at 6/4 with SkyBet) is very interesting. The horse was beaten just a length last time out at Lingfield over 7f, but the step up to a mile looks like it will suit, while this 3 year-old also has a course win to her name.

5.45 – Redcar – With a decent 38% record with his runners at the track then Ian Williams’ BALLYFARSOON (Bet at 20/1 with Coral) is interesting here. Yes, the horse has not been firing of late but has slipped to a low mark and with Josh Doyle’s 3lbs claim then that’s a further plus. Connections also stick the visor back on – something he’s run well wearing in the past.

Stratford Tips –

2.40 – Stratford – PENGLAI PAVILION (Bet at 1/2 with Coral) is another from the powerful John Ferguson yard, who have a healthy 32% record with their runners at the track. The yard in in decent form too, while a win last time out on his hurdling debut was a nice start. Regulation is the main danger.

5.25 – Stratford – We end the card with a NH Flat race, but with trainer Warren Greatrex having a 33% record with his runners here then his VIOLETS GIRL (Bet at 9/4 with Paddy Power) is the pick. She was a fair third on debut last month and would have come on for that run. This race doesn’t look that strong and she’s taken to make it second time lucky.
