2:00 Kempton
This Grade 2 contest has been dominated by Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson, who have shared six of the last eight renewals between them. Their respective runners look like the ones to concentrate on here, with Henderson’s Bivouac setting a useful standard, and Nicholls’ ALL YOURS (7/2 William Hill) looking a dangerous improver. The latter named dotted up at Taunton a fortnight ago, and may well progress again to play a hand in the finish.

2:35 Kempton
The Grade 2 Pendil Novices’ Chase is a race that can have an impact at Cheltenham, and there are a few connections represented in today’s contest that will have hopes of Festival success. God’s Own sets a very high standard with his official rating of 160, but he’s not been entirely convincing of late and he looks vulnerable as the favourite. IRISH SAINT (5/2 bet365), two from two at this course, looks to have a better chance with both the trip and his form with Vibrato Valtat giving him an edge over God’s Own.

3:10 Kempton
He doesn’t look the most straightforward, but the hope is that VAGO COLLONGES (NAP) (5/4 Ladbrokes) can return to winning ways now dropped in trip and back on a flat track. He travelled supremely well over 2m5f at Cheltenham in January but looked to run out of steam on the lung-busting New Course. Kempton should suit far better and he might just have too much class for today’s opposition. Days Of Heaven rates as the main danger, ahead of The Grey Taylor.

3:45 Kempton
As you’d usually expect for this contest, it’s seriously competitive and a boil-over wouldn’t surprise. Fox Appeal is tempting, with Kempton form figures reading 1312 and some classy efforts to his name. Easter Day must also enter calculations after his unlucky fall at Cheltenham last time (off today’s mark). However, a flyer is taken on RAJDHANI EXPRESS (E/W) (16/1 Paddy Power), who sports a first-time hood and might just improve for tackling 3m for the first time. Weight has not proved a barrier to success in this race over the years, and the top-weight could well outrun his odds.
