Horse racing tips for a NAP at Killarney on today's card. Our racing tipster has picked out his best bet of the day and it comes fron the 3.05pm race today.

The Killarney July meet will be where we start to see the hands of many trainers prior to their trip to Ballybrit at the end of the month. The man to watch at Galway is Dermot Weld and we may well see a future Galway winner here in Tandem. If he was to win here it would put him in nice shape to be a lively contender for the Galway Hurdle, the feature event of the week.

He looked a smart type on the flat when he was rated as high at 105 at the peak of things, off a mark of 130 here, although giving weight all around he should be capable of putting in a bold show. He has run two good races in defeat since getting off the mark over hurdles and will appreciate a sound surface, and although it won’t be top of the ground going it will still be better than what he encountered over the winter months. Davy Russell has a good partnership with Dermot Weld and it could be worthwhile siding with duo tomorrow to collect here before heading for Galway in good spirits.

It may be worth checking the market for Tony Martins handicap debut Heartbreak City. He teams up with Paul Carberry, and any Martin horse running off bottom weight must be feared.
