SELECTION: Trainer Richard Hannon’s Great Page was a fair seventh in the Weatherbys Super Sprint last weekend at Newbury, but on known form BESHARAH (Bet at 6/4 with Ladbrokes) is the one to beat here. William Haggas’ 2 year-old is a previous course winner at here at Ascot and her close second to Illuminate at Newmarket last time in a top Group Two race makes her the clear one to beat.

2.40 – Weatherbys Private Banking Handicap (Bobis Race) Cl2 1m CH4

Only 4 previous runnings
3/4 – Carried 9-1 or more in weight
3/4 – Priced 10/1 or bigger in the betting
Hughie Morrison won the race in 2012
Hughie Morrison has a 23% record with his 3 year-olds at the course
Marco Botti is just 2 from 29 with his 3 year-olds at the course
Richard Fahey is only 2 from 37 with his 3 year-olds at the track

SELECTION: The William Haggas yard took this contest 12 months ago so his runner, Pick You Choice, will attract interest, especially after a recent win on the AW. That said, we’ll be siding with Sir Michael Stoute’s GRAND INQUISITOR (Bet at 10/3 with Betfair) here. The horse has landed his last two in decent fashion and the step up in trip looks key. He’s also shown he handles give underfoot and jockey Pat Smullen is an added plus in the plate.

3.15 – Gigaset International Stakes (Heritage Handicap) Cl2 7f CH4

12/12 – Ran at Ascot before
12/12 – Won by a horse aged 5 or younger

4/12 – Won last time out
3/12 – Ran at Ascot last time out
3/12 – Trained by Mark Johnston
2/12 – Trained by Clive Cox
2/13 – Ridden by Jimmy Quinn
2/13 – Ridden by Richard Hughes
0/13 – Favourites
The average winning SP in the last 10 runnings is 21/1

Note: The 2005 running was staged at Newbury

SELECTION: A very hard race to unpick here, but with a lot of stats on their side we like DONNCHA (e/w) (Bet at 12/1 with Paddy Power). The horse heads here off the back of two cracking wins and despite a 4lb rise in the weights connections offset that with the jockey’s 5lb claim. He’s won in soft conditions too, while he’s been handed a decent starting berth in 6. Of the others, Heaven’s Guest and Rene Mathis could also be worth a small e/w investment.

3.50 – King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored By Qipco British Champions Series) (Group 1) Cl1 1m4f CH4

13/13 – Aged 3 or 4 years-old
13/13 – Previous Group 1 or 2 winners
12/13 – Had 2 or more runs already that season
11/13 – Won over 1m4f
11/13 – Placed in their last race
10/13 – Previous Group 1 winner
10/13 – Priced 11/2 or shorter in the betting
8/13 – Won last time out
7/13 – Raced Ascot before
6/13 – Favourites
5/13 – Raced at Royal Ascot last time out
5/13 – Won at Ascot previously
3/13 – Trained by Sir Michael Stoute
Sir Michael Stoute won the race in 1981, 1983, 2002, 2009 & 2010
Saeed Bin Suroor won the race in 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999 & 2004
The average winning SP in the last 10 runnings is 7/2

SELECTION:The Friday rain might scupper his chances, and some might think this is a race too soon for this year’s wonder horse GOLDEN HORN (Bet at 10/11 with Paddy Power). However, getting weight all-round this unbeaten 3 year-old and highest-rated in the line-up should still prove hard to beat. The last two 3 year-olds to win the King George were also trained by a certain John Gosden. The main rivals are Eagle Top and Snow Sky, but it will be a huge shock if Golden Horn can’t add this race to his already impressive haul of races this term.

York Racing Tips (C4/RUK)

1.45 – Sky Bet Best Odds Guaranteed EBF Fillies´ Stakes (Handicap) Cl3 1m2f88y CH4

10/10 – Priced 12/1 or shorter
8/10 – Won over at last 1m2f before
8/10 – Finished in the top 3 last time
8/10 – Carried 8-13 or more in weight
8/10 – Ran in the last 4 weeks
8/10 – Ran at either Lingfield, Doncaster, Newcastle & Newbury last time out
7/10 – Favourites placed
7/10 – Horses from stall 2 that finished in the top 3
7/10 – Rated between 79-84
7/10 – Priced 7/2 or shorter in the betting
6/10 – Aged 3 years-old
5/10 – Won just once previously
5/10 – Winning favourites (3 of last 4)
4/10 – Won their last race
3/10 – Winners from stall 3
The average winning SP in the last 10 years is 5/1

SELECTION: This can go to the only last-time out winner in the line-up – CHAIN OF DAISIES (Bet at 5/4 with Bet365). Henry Candy’s charge has won her last two in great fashion and despite a huge-looking 9lb rise in the ratings she won with enough in-hand there to suggest she can defy the extra rise – course and trip look perfect too. Supreme Occasion is the main danger.

2.20 – Win £5,000 With sportinglife.com Pick 6 Stakes (Handicap) Cl2 7f CH4

7 previous runnings
7/7 – Ran within the last 6 weeks
7/7 – Carried 9-3 or more in weight
7/7 – Priced 8/1 or shorter
6/7 – From the top 3 in the betting
6/7 – Won over 7f previously
5/7 – Won at York previously
4/7 – Rated between 73 and 80
4/7 – Placed in the top 3 last time out
3/7 – Priced 4/1 in the betting
2/7 – Favourites (1 joint)
2/7 – Won by the David O’Meara yard
1/7 – Won their last race
The average winning SP in the last 6 runnings is 11/2

SELECTION: A contest with many chances here, but the David O’Meara stable won the prize in 2010 and 2014 so it could be worth siding with their two runners MONT RAS (e/w) (Bet at 16/1 with Paddy Power) and ALEJANDRO (Bet at 5/1 with Coral). Both are worth an interest, but the last-named just gets the nod being a past CD winner, plus he looks to be running into form based on his recent runs.

2.55 – Skybet York Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 1m2f88y CH4

8 previous runnings
9/9 – Aged 6 or younger
8/9 – Favourites placed in the top 3
7/9 – Placed in the top 3 last time out
7/9 – Ran within the last 4 weeks
7/9 – Horses from stall one that finished in the top two
7/9 – Won over 1m2f previously
6/9 – Won at least 4 times previously
6/9 – Rated between 112 and 117
4/9 – Raced at Sandown last time out
4/9 – Favourites
4/9 – Had run at York before
3/9 – Aged 6 years-old
2/9 – Trained by Saeed Bin Suroor
The average winning SP in the last 8 runnings is 9/2

SELECTION: Top Notch Tonto will like any rain, so will Tulluis, but really on these terms this should be another for David O’Meara. His runner, CUSTOM CUT (Bet at 11/4 with Betfred), is the clear top-rated in the field and was an decent second behind Arod last time out in a Group Three at Epsom. The horse handles any ground and is also a past course winner here – should be hard to beat.

3.30 – Skybet Dash (Handicap) Cl2 6f CH4

11/11 – Ran within the last 5 weeks
10/11 – Won between 2-6 times before
10/11 – Priced 9/1 or shorter in the betting
10/11 – Carried 8-12 or more in weight
9/11 – From the top 3 in the betting
9/11 – Aged 5 or younger
8/11 – Drawn in stall 10 or lower
8/11 – Ran at either Hamilton, York, Newmarket or Ascot last time
8/11 – Winning distance – 1 length or less
7/11 – Favourites placed
6/11 – Raced at York before
4/11 – Favourites
3/11 – Ridden by Kieren Fallon
2/11 – Trained by Richard Fahey
2/11 – Won their last race
The average winning SP in the last 10 runnings is 13/2

SELECTION: A very tricky race to end the TV coverage at York, so bets will be small here. KIMBERELLA (e/w) (Bet at 11/1 with Coral) and GRANDAD’S WORLD (Bet at 14/1 with Bet365) are the pair we are going to focus on. The first-named was a nice winner here last time and a 4lb rise doesn’t look too harsh, while the other selections comes from the Richard Fahey yard who took this race in 2006 and 2009.
